Transport Help for first timer

I need help! This is my first time to Disney and I am so confused about what to do as far as transportation. I have a rental car reserved thru Thrifty for the week (Sept. 24-Oct. 2) for about $140.00 BUT it's a full size (intrepid size) and I will have 4 adults and 1 child in my group. I'm worried that we won't have enough room for our luggage. SO....I read up on Murray Hill transport. it sounds great and $90 for a van. I would rather go for the MH transport just because I don't want to drive in a place I don't know, but I really REALLY want to go to the Belz outlets one day on the trip. And I am also worried that the "free" grocery stop with MH won't apply since I won't get into the airport until about 10pm that night, and I saw where they stop at Publix, which might close early. (I have emailed MH with that question so I will wait on that answer)

Can anyone help me or give some suggestions about what you think I should do?? Thanks!

How much luggage would you have? How many large suitcases will you have? If it is just two large suitcases and assorted carry-ons, I think you'll be fine with the rental car. I wouldn't want to be without the rental car for the whole trip, especially where you'd like to do a side trip or two. Do you know anyone with that variety of car that you could check out their trunk? They really are very large.

I imagine we will have 4 large suitcases and 1 medium for my son, then everyone will have a carry on so 5 of those from about small to medium size. I have a friend that has an Impala and I think that might be about the right size, I am going to check out his trunk (that sounds funny!!) (if this hurricane rain ever stops!) and see if I can tell from that. I'm just hoping it will be enough. I just had a friend suggest that I mail a box of stuff down, so that might be my best option.

There's no way you'll get all that luggage in a full size. It'll even be a little tight in a mini van.

IMO...I would call MH and tell them how many people are in your party and your luggage. Also ask them about the late store stop. I just booked with MH for our Oct. trip. I called them on the phone and they were very friendly, I'm sure they can answer all your questions and put your mind at ease.

Thanks for everyone's advise. I am going to go on the internet and book with Murray Hill today and just rent a car for a day when I want to go to the outlets!
