Transport from paris to disneyland

Hello Everyone---I will be in Paris mid-December and will be staying in the Louvre area. My husband and I would really love to see Disneyland Paris and it would be a first visit. We will not be renting a car and will rely on the metro. Can you please tell me how to get there and which trains we need to take..we only plan on visiting for the day..thanks so much!

Check out the sticky. But in short it is really easy. You catch the RER line A from the centre of Paris to Marne La Vallee - Chessy (Parc Disneyland). The entrance to the parks is right at the exit of the train station. It should be around a 30 minute journey from the Gare de Lyon in the centre of Paris.

Well I hope it's easier said than done, sounds easy enough. Will we be able to do both parks in one day?

It really is easy to get from Paris.
Do you know which is the nearest metro to your hotel?

As already said you get the RER A direct to the parks - you can connect onto this line at a few metro stations in central Paris but if you are staying near the Louvre as you say the nearest places will be either Auber or Chatelet des Halles - you may need to get the metro and then connect or may be able to just walk to one of these stations.

Louvre Rivoli is the nearest metro station but Chatelet des Halles is not that far away and we can walk to that one. Will this metro take us directly to Disneyland?

Yes Chatelet des Halles is on the RER line A which would take you straight to DLP. If you look at the map in the link in A Small World's post you can see it is just one stop down from the Gare de Lyon, so about a 30 minute journey.

Chatelet des Halles is a very big metro station with quite a few different lines.

the metro lines are numbered and the RER lines are letters - the RER is basically an extension of the metro which carries on into the suburbs. The signs will give the number/letter of the line and the end station so you know which direction it is going

Just follow the line for RER A in the direction of Marne la Vallee and when you are on the platform check the monitor above and make sure that station is lit up. The line splits so not every train goes to MLV. They are every few minutes so just wait for the next one.

It will take about 30-40 mins

Also make sure you keep your ticket as you will need it to exit the station
You can buy a return ticket which will cost approx 13E per adult
