Hi everyone!

I am taking a trip to DLP in December, we have been several times before and have always taken the VEA shuttle from the airport and back. However I was wondering - is it quicker to take the train?

Has anyone had any experience of this? Would they recommend it or should we just stick to the bus transfer?

Just wondering what people's thoughts were.

Thanks
Laura

Hi,

The actual journey on the TGV is much quicker - only 10 minutes.

However, the TGV doesn't run as frequently as the VEA, so you may be hanging around the airport. In the Very Useful Info sticky on this forum, you can get both the VEA and TGV timetables. That should help you guage whether you would be quicker all round taking the TGV or the VEA.

I usually take the VEA from CDG to DLRP, and because of much more favourable return TGV journey times, I take the TGV back from DLRP to CDG.

Thanks for info!

I'm still undecided as we only have a couple days there and we arrive at 1.30pm at CDG so I don't want to waste alot of time hanging around at the VEA bus stop if we miss one shuttle and have to wait for the next one or if we can't get on one as it's too busy.

Also we are staying at the Disneyland hotel, correct me if I'm wrong but I think that it is the last stop for the bus so by the time we go from the airport (45mins minimum) and eventually get to the hotel it could take ages!

The train would be best but the times aren't that great. The last train we could get would be the 13.50 one, the next one isn't until 15.42 (the 2 o'clock ones are all about 45mins for some reason) and as our flight doesn't land until 13.30 we will probably be pushing that even if it is totally on time.

Doh! Looks like we'll be taking the VEA shuttle and hoping it won't be that busy! although given that it is a weekend in December it more than likely will be!

Thanks for your help anyway. :santa:
