Hi all,

Heading into LAX next Weds and just looking to book a cab/shuttle/private car to our hotel by Disneyland so I was wondering if you DISers had any recommendations. Only my Mum and I but we will be loaded up as we're heading to my brother's wedding after Disney.

TIA!

I use Supershuttle www.supershuttle.com a shared van ride. Very easy and no hassle. I book online and print out confirmation. They have pick up points at the arrival level at each terminal at LAX. You just go to the pick up point, check in with the Supershuttle Rep and then then when a van for your destination arrives they call you over. Very efficient system, although you may wait about 15 minutes for a van for your location. The vans hold a maximum of 9 people but usually are never that full.

Thanks @BadPinkTink Can I ask how long it normally takes from pick up to drop off roughly?

That depends on the time of day and the terminal you are at. LAX is a one way traffic system, in the shape of a horseshoe. I usually count the time when the van exits the LAX horseshoe. In June 2015 it took about 1 hour after exiting LAX to my hotel in the afternoon, before evening rush hour

Brilliant, thanks. We land about 1.45pm so could be ready for a bus any time from 2.30pm I reckon (although I expect it shall be longer). An hour doesn't sound too bad. Thanks again for your help

I see that the Disney website offers ground transportation as well. I know there's a charge. Is there a difference using them versus what everyone's recommending? It's our first time going and I'm researching. Thanks!

I wouldn't suggest using Disneyland express unless you are staying at the Disneyland hotel. The bus has about 10 stops at the airport and once they leave the airport they take everyone to the Disneyland hotel where they then separate everyone by the hotel they are staying at. The one time we used it (due to a really good discount) it took a good hour longer than super shuttle.

We used Business Express Svc by ExecuCarExpress from SuperShuttle and were really impressed. It was just us in the van and it was reasonably priced

Can you let us know a little more about the Business express svc? What kind of vehicle was used? The website shows what appears to be a mini-van but only seats 4. I've been debating using one of the Supershuttle options, or Lansky.

Very glad to read the information on this thread! We have the Disneyland Express booked for our June trip, but if it's going to take us that long just to get to the Disneyland Hotel (we are staying @ PP) and then have to change/transfer to get to our hotel, I'd rather avoid that. I'll be checking out the options you all suggested!

It was a ford transit connect van both times. And it did seat 4.

We stayed at Paradise Pier. we got a text when we landed with the driver's number, we called and he was there in a few minutes. We also got a text from the driver when he was at the hotel to take us to LAX.

We have had good luck with Lansky, if you want a private car vs. a shared van.
