Transport from 20 min away from park w/ 9am castle ressie!

Hi, I just scored seats for a CASTLE breakfast! I need to to get 2 teens and myself to the MK by 8:30 ish on a Sat during SPRING BREAK. We are staying at the Rosen Centre (9840 International Drive). I called this am and they said they were about 20-25 minutes from EPCOT depending on traffic, and no shuttle service.

I have never used UBER (wouldn't know how to set that up at this point) but willing to learn if it's SAFE. Taxi?? Where should I have them take us, ie: Perhaps there is a closer resort than Epcot, and we can jump on the Disney bus.

Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated!!!

First of all. if you are going to the MK for breakfast you should be dropped off at either the Ticket and Transportation Center and take the resort monorail to the MK. The CMs will allow you past the crowd if you have reservations. You can also be dropped off at the Contemporary and walk over to the MK. You will waste a lot of time trying to catch a bus from Epcot. I've never used Uber, but my DH does all the time. I personally think it's safe, but I know others will disagree. If you think you might not feel safe, then you should take a taxi. ETA: I just checked a taxi v/s Uber for right now (with traffic). A taxi would be about $41 and Uber would be about $19.

You can take a cab or uber to the contemporary resort and walk to MK.

Personally, I'm not comfortable with Uber's business practices and wouldn't use them. Other people disagree.

First, I agree with PP... either cab or uber to the Contemporary and walk to MK from there.

Second, I wanted to comment on the part I quoted. *IF* your transportation for the other days is supplied by the hotel/resort where you're staying, get some information on it... is there a schedule? Where does it drop you off? When can you be picked up?

We stayed off site with extended family one time and had planned to use the resorts Disney shuttle. Once we got there, we found out they only pick up twice a day (I think it was 9am and 11am) at the resort, and only pick up twice at Disney (7pm & 10pm?). They only went to TTC. I think we tried it for two days and just started driving ourselves.

I'm actually traveling with the HS marching band! So we will have transportation to MK, but just not early enough.

You are NOT 20 minutes away from the park.... Allow a LOT more time then that. The only hotel that's 20 minutes away from the Castle MIGHT be Contemporary. So if you get dropped off there it's probably about a 20 minute walk by the time you clear baggage check, walk in etc....

I would allow an hour at a minimum for this journey
