Transfers Question

This is our 2nd cruise, but first time using transfers. I know that we don't have to pick up our luggage at the airport going, but do we need to pick it up at the cruise terminal and take it to the bus and then again check it in at the airline ticket counter?

yes, you will need to claim your luggage when you debark from the ship, and carry it through customs. Then depending on your airline, you may be able to check your bags right at the terminal. I think Continental, US Air, American Airlines, and Northwest had baggage check in available a couple of weeks ago...

There are porters available in the baggage claim area. Flag one down as soon as you enter the area. They are very efficient. They'll collect your bags, walk with you through Customs, and take the bags over to the bus or the airline baggage checkin counter (whichever you prefer). These guys work for tips and they definitely earn whatever you tip them.
