What's the best and most affordable way to get from the Orlando airport to Hard Rock Hotel?

It depends on how many people are in your party. If there are more than two people, it's actually less expensive to hire a town car. Mears shuttle vans are less expensive for one or two people. Check out www.yourride.net and www.mearstransportaion.com for rates and information.

Last year I used Tiffany Towncar for transfers for my family of four. They were very prompt and the car was very nice. I believe it was abou $65 roundtrip. They even have a coupon on their web site.

Have a great trip!

We had Florida Tours (found them as the sponsor on the transportation board) pick us up at 11:00 pm with a van since we were a party of eight. It cost $65 and we paid him $80 since he was so prompt and courteous.

I told the little 8 year old girl that was with us that she had to find the van driver. She was very concerned and said that I had better do it. As we went down the escalator, there was a man with "Alyssa" printed out on a piece of cardboard. She turned beet red when she saw her name and he said, "Is this you, my name is Sonny." She couldn't believe that someone who knew here name was actually there to pick us up. What a cute start to a great week!!!

On the way back to the airport from the HRH, one of the families took a cab. The driver "got lost" at the airport and missed the exit a couple of times. The mom (dad was not there) was not impressed. Her charge was $38.00. Our cab, the next day, cost $34.00, without the driver getting lost.

I agree it depends on how many people in your party. For just me, I used Mears. For my friend and I, we took Mears from the airport to the HRH ($14 @), then just grabbed a taxi back to the airport on our last day ($40 incl tip). I haven't taken a taxi twice from HRH to MCO and was very pleased both times. Maybe they have nicer taxis at the hotels.
