I was wondering what the best transoprtation option is.

We need to get from the airport to Portofino Bay, two days later we need to get from PB to Port Orleans Riverside, 7 days later we need to get from AKL back to the airport. None of these make up a "roundtrip". What should we do thats easiest and fairly resonable in terms of price? Thanks so much

Even though you are not technically doing roundtrips, you could probably accomplish all that using shuttles, since I think all of your destinations are served by Mears. But personally I will do a towncar, as I hate all the stops at other hotels that you have to endure on a shuttle, not to mention being back in with a full crowd. We always use a towncar from Happy Limo and have done some strange combinations of trips and stops between Disney World, Universal, and even Port Canaveral for our Disney cruises. The driver has always been waiting for us, and it has always gone smoothly. Even if it would cost a little more than the shuttle, I say go for a towncar as the convenience is well worth it.

Rabbittsz,
Do you have an accessable van that a person can remain in the wheelchair? How many others will be able to ride in that van? I went to your web site but there was no information about this that I could find. Thank-you for your help.:)

Disneycrazymom.
I would love to help you but I don't have handicap Vans.Mears has wheelchair accessable Van But call and make a Reservation so they will be waiting for you. Hope this will help you out. Have a nice Vacation Rabbittsz:wave:

Thank-you for the quick reply, I'll call Mears. Sorry we could not use your service, thanks for sponsoring this board!:)

DisneyCrazyMom,

Me again!!!

Although the Regular Mears shuttle will call at several hotels dropping off passengers along the way, The Wheelchair Vans they use seldom carry more than one party. They won't guarantee a wheelchair van to yourself, but I have now made four or five round trips with them, and only once was there a second party travelling with us (one trip in ten). The wheelchair van they use can only hold ttwo wheelchairs plus three or four 'regular' passengers and luggage at most, so you have a better than evens chance of having the van to yourself and a ride direct to your hotel.

The most I have waited at airport is 20 mins (waiting for a van to arrive). Vans have always been there on time or early at resort for agreed pick up for return trip.

Almost as good as a limo service!!

Andrew
