Hmm, this will be a fun one to follow so bear with me. :)
I know when you want t change ressies you have to cancel one and make a new one. What I don't know is if you can just transfer the $ you've paid for the one over to the other. AND If that applies to SoG as well. What my PLAN is, is I want to ive my parents reservations at SoG for their 40th anniversary. Trouble is, that is about 3 years away and you can only make ressies 1 year in advance there. And my hubby and I being who we are, we know we just can't put away that money for 3 years form now and be able to pay for it then. Plus, we don't have much in the way of money so it's going to ahve to be their Christmas and Birthdays gifts for the few years to come. So wha I WANT o do is mak a reservation at a value which is comparable in price (or maybe a moderate) and then when it gets to a year out, cancel those ressies and move teh $ to the SoG ressies. Is that possible? I don't know if I can make SoG ressies through the CRO or WDWTC, I plan on calling them directly next month for our ressies for next dec. So see what I'm talking about here? I want to be able to pay a bit towards the room every year so it's ready for them when they go.

Any advice or insite is appreciated!
Thanks

SOG is a separate entity from WDW. You cannot make ressies for them through CRO. You have to call and pay SOG directly to make ressies with them. Plus, maybe someone else can answer this, but I think you have to be the person staying at SOG, or sponsoring the room, to make the ressies.

If you qualify to stay there, but your parents don't, you would have to be with them at check-in. If your parents qualify to stay there and you don't, I believe they have to make the ressies, as a valid Social Security Number is needed.

WDW travel and SOG are not connected in any way. You can make your ressies at SOG if you or your spouse qualify and will be there with them or if one of your parents qualifies. You will just need to make the reservation in the qualified persons name. For this you will need their name and rank. You can do it through their website but can only do it 12 months in advance.

What about putting that money each month into an paypal account and letting it sit that way when you make the reservations you can just transfer it out of paypal and apply it to the ressie?

Hi,
My dad is a vet so they'll be able to stay there no problem. I come from a very military family.

Yeah, wouldn't it be ince t be able to have a PayPal acount and not touch the money in it. I know I won't be able to do it. I'll keep thinking though. You guys answered my questions. :scratchin
THANKS

So, why don't you put cash into the birthday and christmas cards, and ask your parents to save it ?
