Transferring Points

You can transfer points in or out of your account (not both), to another member, once per use year. You are unable to transfer banked or borrowed points, but the person receiving the points can bank them. Points must be transferred to the same use year (not use month, but use year) ie, 2019 points can be transferred to someone else's 2019 use year, but they can not be transferred to a 2018 use year or a 2020 use year. There is no fee, but you must call member services for a transfer and have the name and DVC Membership number of the person receiving your points.

It has been reported that if you have more than one membership number, you can transfer between your own accounts multiple times per use year.

DVC doesn’t charge anything for transferring points. Be aware that paying for transferred points is strictly against DVC rules, so if there’s going to be any kind of compensation involved, don’t mention it to MS when making the transfer (which can’t be done online and requires a phone call).

Keep in mind, you are unable to borrow transferred points also once they are in your account. Plus you have to call member services to actually make the reservation.
