Transferring points and taxes

I am thinking about transferring points to pay for the member cruise instead of using points. Two questions:
1. If you pay cash, are there other charges that are not listed in the points/ cash chart?
2. Is it worth transferring since you have to pay federal tax on the payment you receive?

The Cash/Point rates shown include all taxes, port fees and standard gratuities.

I have been on 6 DCLs payed with all or partial points and never had gratuities included.

By standard I am assuming you mean:
State room host/hostess
Server
Bus Boy
Head Server

The OP is asking about the Member Cruise which does include gratuities.

You will still need to pay for any adult beverages, speciality coffee, excursions at any port, rentals of bikes or snorkeling equipment, kayaks, paddle boats, aqua trikes, cabanas at Castaway Cay and of course souvenirs. And if you bring an infant ages 3 month to 3 years (not potty trained) then you will need to pay for any time they spend in the nursery

The question about taxes would be best asked of an accountant or IRS.
