Transfering Points - 11 months ?

When you transfer points into your account, do the points maintain their home resort status? In other words, if I own at AKV and I transfer points from someone from the BWV, are the transferred points AKV or BWV?

Thanks! Sorry if this has been asked recently, but I couldn't find it. I am trying to do some wedding planning and need to figure this one out!

Transferred points are supposed to retain their original home resort, but it has to be tracked manually by member services.

Transferred points are supposed to retain their original status regarding Home Resort and Use Year. If you are accepting BWV points in order to use them 11 months ahead for a BWV reservation, you should be fine - although you may need to remind MS of that status. Otherwise, they may be used at any other resort 7 months ahead.

If you want to use transferred points at AKV more than 7 months ahead, they will need to be AKV points.

Thanks! I own at AKV, but actually want a Grand Villa at BWV for our wedding in January. I am booked at the AKV for the Grand Villa there, but am scared to wait for the 7 month mark. I need to transfer points in anyway, so I was wondering if I could kill two birds with one stone.
