Transfer questions need help please

Hello all I have been working on my T-shirts for our trip and just found out some things the hard way and need some help!!!! Here are my question

1. If I am using a shirt and the color is other than white do I need to buy dark transfer paper?

Yes...anything that is white on the image will show the shirt color not the color white if you are using a light transfer paper. If you want the white on the image to stay white if you are going to use a colored shirt then you will need to use a dark transfer and either use images with borders or trim any transfer paper away that you dont want to be white on the shirt.
