Transfer Points Question

Well we are currently in ROFR so this is a very premature question but here it goes anyway. We are short points that we need for our ** trip. My question is as soon as we are in they Disney system can we transfer points in or do we have to wait until the points are in the system. I just want to jump on transfer points if they are available and we need about ****so we can't just get them from Disney. Thanks for your help.

I would wait until MS is finished setting up your account, points and all.

You need to wait until the new points are in the system for MS to be able to utilize them for a reservation. I am assuming that your current trip is already booked with points that you already have as a DVC member. If you have not already borrowed points from your next use year, you could always do that for this trip and then bank the new points for use in your next use year once they are in the system. Once they are banked, they cannot be borrowed back. Once you borrow from your next use year, you have to use those points in your current use year. I have to keep repeating those lines so that I remember how it works!
