What is the difference in papers from where? I want to make shirts I have my design but I am wondering what paper to use? Can i get a recommendation? Thanks.

The best transfer paper I got from AmyMickey. It works great on any color shirt and you don't have to reverse image like you do on other types of papers. Also really holds up well to washing multiple times....PM me or her if you would like her website, she can't post her website here on the boards because she sells items. :goodvibes

Thanks i didn;t know you had to reverse it how do you even do that?? :confused3

I too use them only, she includes directions with them...they are the best transfers...

I just ordered my 1st set from her... so excited!! I know you can use on light or dark colored clothing... can I use on a heavier material like sweatshirts or fleece? Hoping I can :thumbsup2

I only use Amy's paper. She does dark transfers
Difference
transfers for white shirts
1 disign prints backwards
anything white comes through as clear
can't use on colored shirts
I have had a box of them for years and rarely use them for white shirts only and then normally for a simple DISign.

Transfers for dark shirts
more expensive
look & wear much better (esepcially Amy's)
transfer is white so if you are doing a disign it should be framed and easy to cut out.

there is s step by step on how to do this in the FAQ's sticky.

Well, I use Amy's transfers for both dark and light...so far nothing has happened...

I also use Amy's for dark and white shirts. My DISigns turned out amazing for my last trip! Would highly recommend. :thumbsup2

And remember, you get what you pay for so if you get cheap transfers you get cheap results....

Clarification - I use the dark ones for white and dark also. :goodvibes I think they look better.

Also, I carry a canvas like bag for my pins when I go down for the pin weekend. I decorate the back and the front of the pin bag. I also wear a pin vest. it's a heavier cotton material (like a waiter's vest). I wear a DISign on the back of my vest. I remember people saying they used the transfers on sweatshirts also.:goodvibes

Yes, you can use them for heavier material. I just made my daughter and her friends hoodies and they came out fabulous!
