Transfer of Points From The Next Use Year.....What Happens if Dues Are Not Paid

I am a DVC Owner. A friend of mine recently transferred all of his 2025 points to me. Use Year is June.

Does anybody know what happens if he does not (or is financially unable) to pay his 2025 Annual Dues? I cannot find this answer anywhere!

I believe nothing will happen to transferred 2025 points in your account.

Your friend’s account would/could get locked until they make all the payments.

Most contracts have more value left than one of year of dues, so I don’t think there’s really any way to exploit this.

I don't know the answer but is there a reason that's making you think of this?

One thing, if DVC looks they can obviously see where the points are.

Member Services could probably tell you what the answer is, but wouldn't be able to give specifics on your friend's contract.

Once transferred, there is nothing that happens. The owner of the membership would face issues but not the receiver of the points.
