Transfer of luggage & early or late check-in ?

Hi! I was able to get a better flight rate coming in a day earlier than my reservation at CSR, so I made a one night at ASMu since we were getting in later. I was wondering if the Value resorts transfer your luggage? Also, are there any advantages to checking in early...I'm trying to figure out if I should just cancel ASMu & add a day to the front of the CSR, it would be checking in around 6:30pm as opposed to checking in the next day around 8:30 or 9am. I have AP rates, so the difference in price isn't too much of a concern. Thanks!

I would add a day to your CSR stay.

I hate having to move. It takes time out of my vacation, adds stress and the checking-in process is not always smooth. There may not be a room available at CSR at 8:30 or 9AM. You may not get a room until the regular check-in at 3 or 4PM, but you will have to check-out of the ASMu by 11AM. That means storing all your luggage, then later waiting for the luggage to be transferred and brought to your new room. There's also the tipping, which depending on the quantity of luggage may not be much or it may be a lot - it's still an extra expense.

If the cost is not a problem, I'd skip the move!

We're just back from a recent split stay. We moved from the BC to the Poly and we packed all our stuff in the van in the morning and drove over to the Poly. I checked in at about 8:00 and I believe that is why I got the room I requested. If I had waited until later in the day, that room may have gone to someone else who had the same request. Bell services gladly took our luggage, including several bags of groceries which we were willing to hang onto and tranport ourselves. Nope, they wanted to take them. Very glad we checked in early. We wanted to handle our own bags because we had my daughter's medicine in it that had to be kept at room temperature. Worked out well for us.
