Transfer Day on Split Stay

We are on the DP and are splitting our stay between POFQ and AKL. I understand our dining credits from the first part of our stay expire at midnight on checkout day. So for the day we checkout of the first resort and check into the second resort (transfer day), will we have access to dining credits on both reservations that day? It would be helpful if we did since we eat at Brown Detby that night and I'd like to have the most credits available.

Thanks.

Yes. But you can't combine credits for 1 person from each reservation. For example if 2A and 1C are on you stay and you have 2A and 1C TS credits left for your last day. The 1C TS credit from the first stay can't be combined with 1C TS from your 2nd set of credits for a 2TS meal.

Thanks for the answer. It should not be an issue to split the meals between plans.

But now I have another question. I'm trying to figure out how to figure out how many TS credits I'll have. For our trip, we check in at POFQ on Friday and check out on Thursday. So I assume I have 7 TS credits (one for each day we are there). We then stay at AKL from Thursday until Sunday. So I assume we have 4 TS credits (again, one for each day). If that is the case, then I'll only have one OOP TS meal, which I can easily deal with. That is because I assume I can use my dining credits from the POFQ reservation all day on Thursday, and then start on the AKL dining credits on Friday.

One last question on this for now is: I assume I will get new room keys, which hold the dining credits. As such, I need to keep track of which keys are for the POFQ reservation, and which keys are for the AKL. Is that correct? or will I only have one room key for all trip. Of course, this leaves an issue since for one reservation we purchased 8 day parkhopper ticket, and for the next we purchased 3 day parkhopper ticket. So if one key gets me in for 7 days, yet has 8 days on it, do I use this set to get into the park on the first day of our second reservation. I know this confusing, and maybe not an issue for this board, but I thought I'd ask while (at least) i'm on the topic.

Thanks so much.

Credits are by nights not day, so your first stay is 6 nights so 6 TS credits. AKL is 3 nights so 3 TS credits.

Yes you will get new keys and need to keep track which are which. Maybe bring a sharpie to mark them. If you still have days left on the first key you can continue to use them after you check out.

Thanks for the quick response. Good to know. I'm going to have to really try to figure out the ticket situation, but at least I have my head wrapped around the dining plan.

I believe the KTTW cards have your length of stay on the card so it will tell you what one is from AKL or POFQ by the dates printed on them.

Just make sure you use up the credits from POFQ before midnight on Thursday.

I assume I can use my dining credits from the POFQ reservation all day on Thursday, and then start on the AKL dining credits on Friday. Yes, you can still use your POFQ dining credits until 11:59PM Thursday night. Finish using those before you start to use the AKL credits. However, those will be available to you as soon as you check into the AKL on Thursday.

One last question on this for now is: this leaves an issue since for one reservation we purchased 8 day parkhopper ticket, and for the next we purchased 3 day parkhopper ticket. So if one key gets me in for 7 days, yet has 8 days on it, do I use this set to get into the park on the first day of our second reservation. I know this confusing, and maybe not an issue for this board, but I thought I'd ask while (at least) i'm on the topic. I have another suggestion for this. For paid dining you need to purchase at least a 1 day ticket for each person which you've done or a 2 day ticket if you have free dining (I'm not sure which you have). However, to save some money you could buy 10 day parkhopper tickets with the POFQ reservation since you'll be there for 10 days (arrive Friday, leave Sunday). If the tickets are on the KTTW card, you'll just continue to use them throughout your entire vacation. Then, with the AKL reservation, I would purchase the MINIMUM ticket required (either 1 or 2 days depending of paid or free dining). DON'T accidentally use this ticket at the turnstiles, but instead save it for a future trip. As long as you don't use it, it won't expire even if it's on the KTTW card. I know this adds a new wrinkle to your ticket plan so feel free to ask more questions...maybe on the Theme Parks Planning and Strategies Board. :)

Thanks for the addtional information. I will look onto this. But of course, I have more questions. However, this has strayed so far off topic, that I will start a new thread on the appropriate forum. Thanks again.
