Do you mean the tram from Mickey and Friends? Or do you mean the ART transport from the hotel?

mickey an friends (they say its complementary to all guests to Disneyland and don't cost anything. we will walk 1/2mile to tram then it will take us to the main entrance

ok, the Mickey and Friends trams run continuously throughout the day. There is no schedule, they are just on a loop. They begin an hour before park opening I believe, and continue to an hour after park closing.

Where are you staying? The reason I'm asking is that the ART might be a more time efficient way for you to do things, or the hotel might have its own shuttle.

travel loge on disney drive art would cost money and a half mile walk isnt to bad, as my dad said 250 saved for a walk to the mailbox (they live on ten acres of land) isnt bad, and then free tram to the entrance.

ty tho every one who helped out. ive been looking for three weeks for something cheaper

I assume you're staying at the Travelodge on Ball St. and not the one on Harbor? The walk from the Travelodge on Ball St. is about 15 minutes to the tram or 25 minutes if you walk all the way to the gates. If you have small kids, strollers, wheel chairs etc. then possibly a bit longer. Once off the tram you'll walk across the esplanade to either park gate. Walking to the tram isn't a problem but walking back after a long day at the parks can be tiring!

yes that's the place, and thanks i know it may be a biot of a walk but 200 is good to save for in the park, my dad got some expenses he didnt expect so was saying it may be more budgeted then we planed. This is why we weighed the walk to the money saved. ty tho 15mins isnt to bad we can do it . We will have wheel chair for dad at end the nights and in the day it can be used for the bags we will have on the back. My dad jsut told me today he had a wheel chair he is taking just to be safe for him (hes had two heart attacks and doing much better but some times he just cant make it)

You could stay at a cheaper hotel such as Motel 6 on Disney Way and use ART or a nicer hotel further away and pay the $15 parking at Disney and maybe still be cheaper. Hotel prices drop considerably as you get 3-5 miles away or so.

We often use Hotwire to get a 3 star hotel 10-15 minute drive away for well under $100 and then just pay the $15 parking. Sometimes Holiday Inns around Disneyland give good discounts for the entertainment card rate but summer often sees discounts going away!

what? I never knew this....Ive never heard about it being free:confused:

The tram from the parking garage to Downtown Disney has always been free. Just as the old pre-California Adventure original Disneyland parking lot trams to the front gate were free. Also, the shuttle buses from the Toy Story lot on Harbor are free.

99 a night is good for us, and earlyier breakfast by an hour will help, and ya the trams free the hotel person told me its what all there guests use. I want to be still kinda close, and it has firework view deck so thats another +.

I called nearly all hotels on the harbor none were 99 a night for what i needed.
free parking also helps, desert inn parking cost money.
