Did they replace both of the trams on a given line simultaneously?
I would have thought it would be better to replace just one and let it break in for awhile and then replace the other.
There is a catwalk between the two tram tracks as an emergency walkway. Just from the looks, I can tell it would be brutal to walk it in the Florida summer humidity. I trust that the trackways are built in a way that if people had to use the catwalk and someone fell off, he would land on the trackway but not be in danger of falling off that too and tumbling to the ground.
There was another U.S. airport, I think it was Dallas-Ft. Worth, which had trams where, if someone pushed the emergency stop button inside, the doors unlatched and the tram eventually took everyone back to security to be rescreened.
