Hi..

The last times I have visited DL I've stayed at Super8 at Disneyland Dr. and then taken the parking tram to the parks. I've stayed in late June and around christmas, so pretty peak season!
When I used the tram it drove like every minute, and even though there was quite long lines sometimes, I didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes!

Now I read a thread saying that the tram drive every 20 minutes..

So my question - is there a longer wait time for the tram in the low season?? Dose the tram drive more often in peak season?

Just curious

Each time we've been there in peak season, a tram seems to roll around every 5-8 minutes or so. It might actually be faster in Summer than Winter despite the crowds, because last week when we were there (off-season), the tram would sit and wait...and wait, and wait, and wait...for people who were even still on the escalators to make it down to board! Whereas in Summer, the tram fills up super fast and it takes off within a minute or two.

We go about once a month (all seasons) and I've never seen a tram take longer than 3 or 4 minutes to show up (after the previous one left). Usually there is one there within 30 seconds. The wait usually comes with how many people are waiting for the tram because sometimes you do need to wait for 2 or 3 trams before you can board (like right after fireworks, etc).
Of course this is for the M&F parking lot. Could the post you read have been referring to one of the other parking lots?

Thanks for your answers. It is my exspirence too, that the tram run VERY often, so the only wait is because of crowds to get in the tram.*

I might have misunderstood something, but in this thread*http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2875993 in the end of the first answer it says that the tram run every 15-20 minutes...*

And it just made me curious. Hopefully I will come back to DL in the future and maybe in off-season, and if I have to wait 20 minutes for a tram I would rather stay at another hotel, on Harbor or Katella ;)*

I think the tram frequency is actually based on how busy things are at that time. Its not just the time of year, but also the time of day and park hours that determine how quickly the trams run.

Ahh...I think the person who wrote this in the other thread meant something other than the tram--perhaps the ART Shuttle/Bus? The Anabella Hotel is next to the Convention Center and close to the Hilton. Many guests from that area take ART. ART runs at a less frequent time, so I think 20 minutes would be right. Anyone staying at the Anabella Hotel would likely *not* take a tram from the Mickey & Friends parking structure, unless they decided to drive there. But it would probably take longer to drive to M&F, park, and take the tram, than just walking from the Anabella.

Anyways, as the others have posted on this thread, the parking trams definitely run more frequently than every 20 minutes. I hope you get to come back to the Disneyland Resort in the near future! :goodvibes

What I've found is trams almost one right after another in the morning hours and late evenings. Thats when people are arriving or leaving for the day. Mid day when few people are going either direction trams seem to come by at longer intervals, up to 10 minutes but I've never seen longer.
