Hi,
We will be staying offsite and driving to the parks. If we are at MK, what's the best way to get to Trail's End? If we are at a different park, what's the best way then? TIA! :goodvibes

From Magic Kingdom, walk or Monorail to Contemporary Resort. From CR take the boat to Fort Wildereness, then walk to Trail's End.From Epcot,DHS,or DAK take the Wilderness Lodge bus, then bus or boat from WL to FW,walk to Trail's End.:)

If I remember correctly, you could also drive to Ft. Wilderness. I believe there is parking at Pioneer Hall which is where Trail's End is located. An non-guest can't get in by vehicle to where the campsites are but you are allowed to drive to Pioneer Hall. I could be wrong but I remember doing that a couple of years ago. :)

There is a boat directly to and from FW and MK, OR there is a boat from FW to Contemporary. To drive there, you would have to park in the public parking lot at FW, then take the internal bus to Pioneer Hall/Trails End.

Depending on the time you'll be there, driving might be your best bet. You could always go to FW in the morning, park there and take the boat to MK, then after dinner spend the evening at FW - go the campfire sing-along, roast some marshmallows, watch the Water Electrical Pagent from the beach, then head back to your hotel.

This is how we always go. It's a wonderful adventure and you get to see alot.

When we went, we just took the boat from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness and you are let off right there.
