We have a hybrid. We've had it for several years and have been good about doing our annual maintenance but this year we noticed the front bunk was getting a little saggy. So after our last camping trip of the season my husband decided it was time to fix it. It's been a fun journey and now he is mostly done. It will be better than new when he is done and hopefully it will last the life of the trailer. We knew going in that hybrids, especially the front bunks do have issues but for our family it was the option we wanted. It's been a little time consuming to repair because he has rebuilt it from scratch with better materials. The wood on the original was so soft so he made sure to fiberglass the new wood so hopefully if water does get into it it won't rot like it did. Luckily we have had no leaks anywhere else and it was just the bunk base that needed replacing. Anyhow, long story short now the trailer will be repaired and we can take it to the Fort in February and that's really all I wanted.
Editted to add: my husband has even made a video journey of the repair because he wasn't able to find anything about hybrid bunk rebuilding online. It's been hilarious to watch him video himself.
