Well, yesterday was my brother Brian's wedding. It was a nice ceremony and everyone had agreat time. But when we got to the reception in Braintree, MA , we saw that the road was closed right before the reception hall. We saw police tape and camera news crews etc.

Turns out, the police found a body that had been dumped on the woods next to the reception hall.

They interviewed my brother and his new wife (in their wedding attire) on Fox 25 news last night.

It was just sad/weird.

Even more sad, today the police found a dead toddler in East Boston. They think the two deaths are linked. The toddler was found very close to my best friends house.

:(

:(

 figures the media would jump on a chance to interview the "happy couple". What a sad/bizzare wedding memory...

Yikes! That's terrible. I hate hearing that they've found dead bodies.

Oh how sad... :(

My hubby went to a wedding once (before he knew me) where a gentleman ate seafood and had an allergic reaction and died right there at the reception.. Boy talk about a bad omen for your future.. Oh yes, someone died at our reception... ICK! Their marriage did end up not working out, but I'm sure it had nothing to do with that....

Maybe they can have another reception somewhere else!

That would be fun! :)

I know, the media just could not get them on tape fast enough...

I saw that on the news. I felt bad when they were interviewing them.

When I stood for my friend in his wedding a few years ago, a state trooper had to come to the reception to inform one of the other groomsmen that his father had died in a plane crash. He immediately left and the other two groomsmen went with him to make sure he got home safely. That left me as the only guy left in the bridal party after the groom. Not the greatest wedding memory to be sure.

Oh what a sad event to take place on what should be a happy day. :(
I actually just heard on channel 5 the preview for the noon news and they were calling it a double homicide. :(

What a small world!!! My 10 y/o dd was watching the new with us last night when they first announced that. They said they were treating it as 'suspicious'. My dd says..."Oh yeah...it's really easy to kill yourself, wrap yourself up in plastic and then tie yourself up with wire.!!" So sorry it had to be near the reception.

When my mom remarried she not only had flowers for all of us kids, but also for our significant others. My sister pinned a rose on her boyfriend's lapel and he got a bit shaken up because my sister had pinned it on upside down. My sister laughed and said she would fix it but the boyfriend was still all upset because he said that it meant that there would soon be a death...

Fast forward to the reception. One of my new stepdad's friends dropped dead of a heart attack on the dance floor. Talk about weird.

Later, while talking to the manager of the reception hall he said it was not that unusual to have a guest die at a wedding reception. He said the combination of eating rich foods, having a few drinks and the physical activity of dancing when your body is not accustomed to such can cause someone to have a heart attack.

I believe it. A guest of the Groom at my cousin's wedding had a heart attack and died. It was horrible.:(

I saw that on Channel 4 this morning... they took the people who lived at the house to the Police Station for questioning. An officer found the baby (2-3 years old) in a trash bag thrown in the trash... Between this crew and the nutjobs up in NH killing the puppy dog, I don't know what's in the water they're drinking!!!

I know! (this is why I drink bottled water ;) ) They found the baby near my friends house in East Boston. It was awful. There are just too many sick people in the world. How anyone could hurt a 2 year old baby is beyond me...
