Southern California Traffic from long beach airport to san diego

We are considering a family trip next April to San Diego and possibly Anaheim from The east coast. Fares into San Diego are almost 250 more per ticket than a JetBlue flight into Long beach. If the flight arrives at 9:30am and we head straight to San Diego how would that be? We would be flexible on going back up as we may go to Anaheim and hit Disneyland one day prior to heading back on a red eye. Any advice.

A little over 100 miles - figure about 2 to 2.5 hours if you are on the road by 10:30AM.

Long Beach is about 2 hours from San Diego. If you're going to be in north county, though, it won't be as far--where are you driving to exactly?
