Traditions at the Parks

We always go straight to the coffee shop for coffee and a cinnamon roll and watch people walk down mainstreet before we start our day. Next stop is a set of ears for the day. Next stop after that, is a new lanyard and a few pins to start our pin collection for that specific trip.

First ride is alway Storybook Land and last ride is usually Storybook Land.

We also go to the wishing well before we leave for the night to make a wish. Sounds kind of corny, but it's what we do. :)

I WISH we could do new ears every trip!! What do you do with them all?
(great pictures BTW, wish I could convince my kids and hubbie to wear matching ears!)

We always make a reservation at Blue Bayou for the first seating of the day on the same day we do our Magic Morning. After getting such an early start in Fantasy Land and trying to ride as many things as possible we are ususally worn out and ready for a nice meal.

Another tradition we started a couple years ago:
Since we drive in from AZ we usually arrive to Anaheim mid to late afternoon. We try to make to California Adventure in time for the last showing of Aladin. Once Aladin is over, we let our son choose one other ride to go on before we leave the park and have a nice sit-down dinner at Buca di Beppo. Once everyone is full of pasta we head to our hotel to prepare for a very early start at DLR the next day.

Ok this will sound bad to some people.. But I love to start my “Disney day” off with a Stanford brut split of champagne from the wine bar at DCA. I always do it, it’s my routine! And then I go to California Screamin and ride that as my 1st ride of the day…

That’s my tradition!

Hey, sounds good to me!! :thumbsup2

We are making it a tradition to go to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner the day we arrive, and then get a good night's rest to hit the parks bright and early the next morning.

We're hoping to start a few more traditions this summer! :goodvibes

First day of the trip its always Splash first, a tradition since our first family trip when I dragged our then younger kids on it and totally freaked them out....

It took a while for the kids to trust me on any ride descriptions I gave them from then on... They always look at me now with narrowed eyes and say "like the tame little log ride with the little drop?"...

We always take the train for a full loop around the park as soon as we get there. And we always do Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise on the first day. Until we've paid homage to our traditions, it doesn't feel like our visit has officially begun.

And even though they're not in DL, we have to go to ESPN zone and LaBrea Bakery sometime during our trip.

And sometime before we leave, we must have a tigger tail. :tigger::tigger:

Thanks guys and gals. Hoping to add a few more over the years.

I have told all my kids that on this trip they must try every ride. So we'll see how that goes

You had to tell them LOL my son actually made himself grow so he could get on California Screamin' he wants to ride everything with 1 exception.

He says no way to Mickey's Wheel of Death LOL

Enter through the left tunnel, Peter Pan first, then Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain and then Thunder. After that depends on how busy. Lunch is almost always the Plaza Inn. I've never thought of them as traditions but we always do them so I guess they are!
