Trading Spaces at WDW on TV Now!

I'm watching Trading Spaces, and they are at WDW! Looks like they're doing houses in the Orlando area. I was kind of hoping they'd do homes in Celebration, but it doesn't look that way.

(BTW, they just showed that episode where Hildi stapled those gaudy silk flowers all over that gorgeous bathroom. I would have had a fit if she had done that to my bathroom!)

Yeah, that bathroom was pretty sad! And worst of all, it will be a pain to redo with all of the staples in the wall,

The WDW show is OK. Vern is excellent and his room, as usual, looks great. Doug's 'martini bar' looks rather 'cheesy'......like Paige said...."looks like everything in the room came from the dollar store"!

Oh my goodness, I saw that show too. Wasn't that awful. I couldn't understand why they wanted to change that bathroom to begin with. That was probably the most hideous room I have ever seen any of the designers do. YIKES!!

hildi is the worst...ever see the wine lable kitchen? I'd find her (i'd only need to look for the person dressed entirely in black every moment of every day) and drag her back & have her remove that crap herself!!!

Can you imagine dusting those hundreds of artifical flowers?!
What was she thinking? I can't decide what room of hers is the worst - the flowers stapled to the wall or the time she stapled records to a living room wall.

I love this show but honestly Hildi really makes a mess most of the time! My fav is Vern!

I think the absolute worst was when she glued hay to the wall in one of her rooms.

I honestly don't understand how people get so upset when they don't like a room. They knew what they were getting in to and they even signed an agreement. If they were worried about what they might end up with, they shouldn't go on the show. Especially if they've seen the show before since the rules are explained to them several times before they start.

The worst wall treatment is a tie now. After seeing that bathroom destroyed, yes, destroyed with those damn tacky flowers, I have to say that the straw glued to the walls is now in a tie position for worst wall treatment. Fake flowers and straw do not belong on walls. Some might call it creative, I call it a damn waste.

If I was in a position to request which designer I wanted, I would have to choose Frank. I love that man! lol Mickey

I missed it! Any idea where in the UCF area? That's where I went to school and lived for a while. Wish I caught that one... might have recognized the area.

What bothered me as much as the flowers, is the fact that she destroyed the beautiful cabinetry in that bathroom. It would cost a fortune to replace it. The tacky red lucite and the gaudy gold metallic paint were hideous.

Did you see the one where the lady just cryed and cryed after she saw what doug had done to her very country living room. He had made if very moderen and covered her brick fireplace with wood. I felt sooooo sorry for her she left the room and you could still hear her crying her heart out.

I was watching last night too. That bathroom was a FRIGHT. Hildi is too much. She never considers practicality in any of her designs.

I have to admit that Doug's porch I almost liked. The bar front was a bit tacky but I liked the seating and the drape things. It was actually pretty good for Doug.

I loved seeing Laurie's baby in the hideous Hildi episode.

I'd have ripped that stupid ***** up one side and down the other and then redecorated her *** with my foot. Then I would have cried.

I think if I were signed up for that show, and saw that Hildi was working in my house, I would back out right then and there! I don't think I've ever seen even one room that she did that I could live with.

So was I the only one wondering if Doug was half crocked when doing that patio/FL room?
That was one room I think I could have done better. It seemed half done.
The flashing on the bar..... Furry rugs....
The *cocktail* lounging area was the only good thing about that room.
Even DH wondered what Doug spent $1,000 on in that room. Must have been mostly fabric. Not much else was worth having.
Even the homeowner wasn't too impressed with the fabric.

Geez, I missed it!! From the descriptions you guys paint, I can only imagine... I agree with the poster who said if Hildi was assigned to my house, I would BACK OUT... Where does she get her ideas? Her rooms are just awful!

I love the older guy (Frank?), he is the best designer of the bunch, I'm totally convinced of that!!!
