Trading pins

OK - I'm going in January with DS 6 and DD 4 and I know they are going to want to do the whole pin trading thing. I read a tip here that it is economically a good idea to pick up some pins cheap on eBay before going so we have something to trade rather than buy pins there. Does any Disney pin work? Any tips for me to prepare for this?

Hi

If you search under "disney trading pins lot" you will find groups of 10 pins for about $30.00 (Buy it Now). If you want to bid you can probably get them for less. We just bought some for our trip next week.

Any pin (not button) made by any Disney entity is OK to trade.

The CM's at Wdw will trade any Disney pin with you as long as the disney copyright is on the back.
they can also trade pins from planet hollywood and rainforest cafe as long as they are fromthe ones that are on disney property. I have gotten few of these pins from CM's.

Also besure to look for the CM's that are wearing green lanyards as they(lanyards) are strictly for the kids!!!!!

I got tons of pins from cheappins.com under $2.00 for my son to trade on our trip. He had such a blast trading. Every CM was very patience while he decided if he wanted to trade or not. A very pleasent experience over all.
