Hi All!
We are thinking about using our points to go California next year. I saw on the website that you can do nightly stays or a weekly stay. I know what week we want to go, but not exact days. It will be over spring break. Does any have any experience with adding or extending a day? How about if we cancel one or two days. Want to work around airfare, so don't know what days we will go yet. I am not against staying one or two nights at a cheaper hotel if nessecary.
Thanks!

Are you looking at Palm Desert through BVTC or CA in general through RCI. Either way you'll need to commit to your dates before you can do much. For RCI, you have to give them flexibility and you need to plan 10-12 months in advance which you're coming up on. For Club Intrawest you can only book 7 months out and I doubt you'd have much availability for that time. You might want to go to the Timeshare Users Group and ask about the likelihood of availability at that time with CI if that's your thought. Availability doesn't necessarily mean it'd be open to DVC members but it's a start. You could also look though RCI then later cancel if you hadn't matched anything. With BVTC, you can specify the exact dates and number of nights. Most options will be available for 7 days only but a few POINTS resorts will be available for more or less in some cases. You'll have to decide whether you'd going to risk airfare or availability issues and take the chance on one or the other.
