Trading Green Barrel Seat!

I bought one too few of those green barrels when they were on sale in March. I'll give you any 300-500 credit holiday item.

No, they are NOT beta, they were sold in March, which doesn't mean they were "re-released beta", they are retired now. I don't know why some people think if it was sold in beta days it is no matter what beta, I mean, how many gray crates are there out there? Those aren't beta, are they? :rotfl:

Why do some people think that if it was sold in beta days it is no matter what beta? I can answer that. Because that is [almost] precisely what makes something beta. In VMK, the definition of beta is something that was available before the official opening, but removed when VMK went live with its official grand opening to the public. That means that the green seats indeed are beta. They were released again in March, which makes them "re-released beta" if you want to denote that. See Aengus's sticky thread if you want a more detailed description:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1190697 Beta does not equal rare. Lots of beta is not rare anymore. But it's still beta.

I'd have to disagree. For something to be beta it would have to be released during beta days and then not available ever again. Otherwise it's defeating the purpose of being special for that very reason.

I always thought of it as "re-released beta". Eh, what do I know.
Just because it was re-released, it doesn't mean it wasn't originally
considered "beta". Pink slipper falls under this category, as well
as the green pirate throne, as far as I'm concerned...

I keep forgetting that some of the blue furniture was re-released beta,
too. Pirate rocker, Aladdin chair, Leota table and heartless hamper come to
mind.

That's what most people call it. Some may disagree with whether it should be called beta, but the fact remains that it is called beta. remember when all the red stuff came out last winter and people freaked out because us noobs without Day One badges were getting all that previously expensive beta? Anyhow, we are derailing this thread. I still need one more green barrel chair. Is my offer close to interesting? I'm pretty sure these things were only about 200 credits in March, so hopefully, it's not too low.

[Here's the old thread about St. Patrick's Day releases]
