Trader Sams @ poly w/ 18 mth old?

Hello,

Just wondering how suitable/ appropriate it is for a visit to trader sams (during the afternoon) with an 18 month old toddler. Coming from Ireland, having a family in a bar / restaurant isn't a problem, but i've read on here that it is frowned upon in the US.

What is everyones thoughts? Probably a drink and a snack to experience the place (We loved TS in Disneyland on our honeymoon), not as if we're there to get sloshed!

Your baby will be welcome as long as it's before 8 PM, when the venue goes 21+.

I agree - you'll be fine!

The only person I've ever heard a comment about children being in a bar was from my mother! LOL! She's quite the prude though. It's perfectly fine to bring your child - and you'll likely be in good company! This is a family vacation destination!

The only caveat I would like to add is that it is loud and fairly intense at times- the noises and effects are quite loud, and there are fake storms, glowing eyed statues that make noise, flashing lights, fake volcanic eruptions, etc. I would look at how sensitive your child is to these kind of stimuli before deciding.

I'd agree with @pangyal that this is a very, very noisy place. Your child may not enjoy that.

Kids in a bar are not uncommon here in wisconsin

If you find your little one doesn't like the noise they do have an awsome outdoor area where you can get everything from in the bar

Just a heads up... You can't take a stroller inside.

We took our son there around that age at maybe 4-5 o'clock in the afternoon. Thought he would enjoy seeing everything (he loves the Tiki Room) while we grabbed one drink. Well, he ended up falling asleep... And stayed asleep the whole time (I was holding him) we were there.

If it's not too loud or noisy for a baby, you can for sure take the baby in so long as it is before 8 PM. Should be noted...anybody under 21 has to leave at 8 on the dot. You can't enter at 7:30 and then say you need to stay because you just got there if you are under 21.

As noted, no strollers inside! There isn't room for them.
