Trade Brita Filters for Bottle?

Anyone have a couple extra new Brita bottles they would like to trade for filters? I just wiped my local Wal-Mart out of all their filters, all 14 boxes. Now I need the bottles to go with them.

Hi, I was able to purchase the bottles which have one filter in them. I threw away the filter wrap....how much water does each filter? I do have an extra bottle if you haven't yet traded. Cindy

CeeCee, I'll go home and look how much water it filters. I remember it said 2-3 months, but if you don't use it that often it would last much longer. I'll let you know!

I remember reading quite a while ago where some people have successfully used the filters in "regular" water/sports bottles that have the same screw-type squirter top as the Brita bottles do. You might try that, too.

The box says they filter 15 gallons and to change every 2-3 months.

My local CVS has many bottles. Are these hard to find? B/c around here I have seen them all over the place.
