Need a little help with tracking dining credits. :confused3

I have a party of 13 going to WDW in Nov and need a good way to track things. All but dh and I have no clue how the DDP works.

Any great ways of tracking snacks and meals?

Thanks for the help!! You guys are awesome!

Are you all on the same reservation? make sure everyone else understands how the credits work. You can get a print out of the credits each day at the hotel concierge desk.

When you get something, the remainder will be on your receipt. Ex. you started the day with 12 snack credits and decide to get some popcorn. You'll get a receipt which shows you used 1 and now have 11 snack credits left. Always check the receipt before leaving, not often but occasionally the CM will make a mistake. Or guest services at your resort will print it out for you at any time as well.

If you meant tracking between 13 of you, I'd write down the name/room# on the bottom of the receipt to help track that way who was using what and definitely make sure they know that just because the receipt says 130 QS credits available, that's to be shared between all of you. They may think it's just theirs if they don't understand what their allotment is!

I just use my receipts to track everything. I thought it would be more difficult to track, but even on our first trip, with three separate families, it was very simple to know who had what just by looking at our receipts. Or, as PP said, ask for a print out every morning from the concierge.

I make a spreadsheet of my plans so I know, generally, when I'm going to eat a QS and I obviously know when my TS is based on my ADRs. We usually pay OOP for 2-3 meals above and beyond the dining plan, so on my spreadsheet I will color code which meals I should use the plan for and which ones I shouldn't (based on which will be cheapest). So on day 4 when I do QS lunch, I will see that's one I need to pay OOP for.

Snacks are a little tougher to track because we use these as we want, but you could keep a tally on your smart phone, or even just a piece of paper.
