Saturday 1st November
Well after the excesses of last night, today was definitely a rest and relaxation day ! But why is it that no matter how late children go to bed, theyre always up at the same time in the morning? In my daughters case that always before 7:30am !! Who needs an alarm clock? We spent the morning eating a leisurely brunch by the pool (the girls & Steve braved the water and the cold was bliss on my foot!), packing and clearing up. Today was mam & dads last full day tomorrow they fly home and we move to the Polynesian (a dream realised 11 years after seeing the resort for the first time) for 3 nights.
Foot update : this morning my right foot was incredibly swollen & the toes on my left foot were purple. There was no way however that I was going to spend the day running up a huge bill in an American Emergency department if there was nothing that could be done even if it was broken. Thank heavens for sturdy pushchairs !
By 1pm we were just about all packed so we strapped my foot up and decided to get one last use out of our Seaworld funcards (excellent value for money!) We spent the afternoon doing all the things we hadnt done previously Clyde & Seymour (Rachelles favourite), the Whale & Dolphin Show, feeding the Sealions & stroking the stingrays.
We stayed til closing time (6pm) and headed out for our last dinner together.
The plan was to go to the Outback Steakhouse somewhere wed tried to get into previously but it was always too busy. Tonight was no exception the queue was out of the door So we headed to the Golden Corral (another place that wed planned on visiting that had also been too busy), tonight we were in luck and do I wish wed tried here earlier !! It was similar in set-up to the Ponderosa but instead of a choice of differently priced main meat course it was a fixed price buffet but with Steak, chicken etc included all you can eat ! .. and the desserts WOW!! Very impressed.
Stuffed, we headed home for our last night in the Villa and tried to finish off the wine & beer we had left
