TR LINK POSTED! - 14 ADRs PLUS F & W!? Our 10th Anniversary Pig-Out! An Oct 2013 PTR

OK guys! Time for the LAST update!!!!

I did our last minute shopping tonight and plan to finish packing tomorrow after work. Then Saturday, we're spending the day in NYC, and we leave still-dark-outside early on Sunday morning!

So on with the plans!

Day 10:

is a RESORT DAY! And while I didn't want to do anything crazy, like made an early morning ADR.....

Well...I made a late morning ADR..... :rolleyes1

I figured that since we're in the area, we'd take another shot at breakfast here:

We had made an ADR for breakfast at Cape May back on our 2010 trip.... but we stayed at MK for EMH until 3am and just didn't have it in us to get up at 6:30am for breakfast.

So we'll have breakfast, then head back to the BW so I can run some laundry, then walk around and explore the resort a little. When the laundry's done, we'll head over to DTD and spend a while shopping, and then we'll head over to our dinner ADR here:

We've never been to Raglan Road before and I'm really looking forward to it!

And after some more wandering, we'll head back to BWV for some packing ( :sad1::sad1::sad1: ) and some sleep!

Day 11:

For our last day, we only have two plans:

and

I had a nice DISer send me a map for the Festival, so that I could highlight all of the stuff we wanted to try and mark it off on the map, so we would be sure not to miss anything.

Well, this is what my map looked like after I was done with it:

Thankfully, she also sent me the Marketplace Passport, which lists the full menu for each booth in a handy check-list. So...no need for the map anymore!

After eating our way around the world, we'll head over to the MK for one last Halloween Party before the dreaded.....

(DUN DUN DUN!!)

Departure day!

4 more days til we're chowing down on California Grill for our anniversary dinner! :cool1:

The plans sound great, Ali.

We LOVE Ragland Road; we've eaten there twice (well, I've eaten there three times as I ate with the girls there in June) and we've never had a bad meal.

I really enjoyed the Halloween Party and we've done it twice. Maybe we'll get there again next year.

I laughed out loud at your map because I would do the exact same thing. Eat all the food. The only way to go popcorn:::cake::mickeybar:drinking1:banana:

I can't wait to hear about the Halloween party!

I hope you have an absolutely amazing trip!!!

If I marked a map it would look similar I'm sure.. Although having gone last year I know there are some things I am okay missing. You didn't circle one of our favorites though! The Griddled Cheese and Spanikopita at Greece are wonderful!!

Raglan Road is also a favorite of ours!

I've always wanted to try breakfast at Cape May, maybe the next time I stay at the Beach Club I finally will! :cool1:

Haha, I remember when I was planning my Food and Wine trips, how I would print out the menus from each booth and highlight everything I wanted to try! :rotfl: I would only end up trying maybe 25% of it...there is just SO much!

Ooh, Raglan Road, I need to go there someday too. This is why I need to move to Florida, so I can just try all of the Disney restaurants instead of trying to cram them into a week vacation. :cool1:

I love how the plans for this trip flow! Just knowing that we'll be able to walk over to Epcot almost any night we want to is dream-worthy! :cloud9:

I'm so excited to try Raglan Road! Although I know I'm going to be boring and order the fish & chips... But it's one of my favorite meals so I'm really looking forward to it!

Seriously, I was like OK....this is did NOT make it any easier! I thought there would be like 4 things that we'd want to try! Nope! More like 4 things PER BOOTH!

We love the Halloween Party! The first time we went was in 2007 and I bought tickets to one night. At the end of the trip, everyone kept saying that they wished we had gone again! So in 2010, we planned in advance for two and then bought tickets for a 3rd party on the day of! It's such a fun way to do MK! And it leaves our days open for things like stuffing our faces at F & W! :thumbsup2

I'm not crazy about Greek food so that's why we didn't circle it! I don't know what it is about it...just not a fan! :confused3

I have never heard a bad review of Raglan Road which makes me feel so much better about eating there! Most places are pretty even...50/50. Raglan Road is like 100% positive feedback! I can't wait!

It's funny because I was like "wait a minute...I KNOW Jen has been there...but then I remembered it was for dinner! I love doing character meals for breakfast and since we'll be right there at the BWV, I figured it was a great opportunity.

I tried going through the menus on the DFB and writing everything down but then I was like "this is stupid" so I just had someone send me the map. I'm so glad she sent me the passport too because that overly markered map isn't cutting it for me! I really scoured the menus though because there were a few things we've tried in the past that I would have missed if I didn't look carefully. The Dragonberry Colada is one of the best drinks I've ever had...it was at the Puerto Rico booth in 2010 but this year they moved it to Refreshment Port. Glad I basically read this thing word for word!

I think if we lived down there, I would never cook another dinner a day in my life. I would just constantly go to the parks to eat. It would be an expensive lifestyle but if money weren't an issue...yeah...every night. I'd be like the "regulars" at the diner who eat there every single day.... The peeps at Rose & Crown would see my name on the list and just have my fish & chips ready for me when we arrived. Because I'd never order anything else. Ever.

Ugh this is has been the LONGEST WEEK EVER!!!! I keep thinking that today is Thursday and it's only Wednesday! I still have two more days of work to get through!

THREE MORE DAYS!!!!!! :cheer2:

I am loving your pre-trip report and I can't wait to hear about the actual trip!!!

My husband and I are also planning a two week trip next May so I can totally relate to all your planning, as well as the job related stress (I too deal in customer service... in a call center).

Hope everything ends up being magical!

Ali, I'm not sure if I'll get here over the weekend (I've not been on the DIS much since Wednesday), but I couldn't let you go without wishing you and your honey a most magical trip. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

Well we made it back home, mostly unscathed! I'm hoping to start my TR soon! I'll post a link here when I do!
