One of the criticisms of the new Toystoryland is the lack of shade. I can't help but wonder if Disney missed an opportunity to incorporate the old Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground idea into Toystoryland. The use of oversized plants would provide much needed shade throughout the new land, the playground would be a great place for young kids to burn off steam and it fits with the backyard theme. It's never too late for Disney to make changes but will they?

There's no "relationship" between HIStK and Toy Story.
I like the idea of adding shade to TSL, but I don't see such an obvious connection between a live-action HIStK and and the animated Toy Story that Disney would automatically think of it.

I think what they're saying is since TSL is meant to be themed around us being toy-sized, then they could take the "shrunken" concept from HISTK and apply it here so that we can get more shade. It's not be about applying an actually HISTK theme to TSL but applying the overall similarities of the "small-size" theming.

YES! That's exactly what I meant. Thanks for the response.

That's basically what Bugs Land in California Adventures Park was. Disney closed it and is replacing the area with Marvel Land

I think that would be a great idea. That playground was my kids favorite part of HS when they were little.
