Good morning WISH friends,

Yesterday was a long day. :( We went with my DH on his job and what was supposed to take 20 minutes ended up taking 3 hours.:scared1: When we got home, I made dinner and then we went to my BIL's house to discuss the job offer. I have to admit, I am feeling very overwhelmed by all of the stuff that he wants me to do. I know it will be a gradual process, but I am really not 100% sure that this is the job for me. :confused3 I will pray about it, give it a few days, and then make a decision.

Please keep my DH in your prayers. :grouphug: Last night, we had the chance to sit down and talk for the first time in awhile. He told me about some things that have been bothering him for awhile now.... I don't want these issues to bog him down and discourage him. Thank you!:grouphug:

Today's Plan:

*eBay

* Workout

* Grandpa's Birthday Party

* Mall walk (Might be my workout)

Tomorrow's Plan:

* Work for BIL

* Tax Prep

* Church

On Wednesday, we will be making a return trip to Kalahari (indoor waterpark) with the same special that we got a few weeks ago. We are going to use this as a fun time, a time to transition, and a time of prayer for our family. I am looking forward to this, but not looking forward to wearing a bathing suit.:rotfl:

Thank you all for your words of encouragement and support!:grouphug: Have a great weekend!:goodvibes

:bday: for your grandpa :goodvibes
:wizard: for DH
:hug: for you & i'm sure you will make the right decision regarding the job.
Take care Tracy :flower3:

Thanks Tracey!:hug:

Well friends, I am a happy camper. My DH doesn't have to work and is now relaxing and watching TV. We have a busy week ahead of us (including a possible trip to Cincinnati and Kentucky) so we are trying to take it easy today.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!:cool1:

Good morning WISH friends,

I had two small victories last night!:cool1: My DH went to the gas station and asked if I wanted anything. My automatic response was "Get me some hot fries, please." I thought about how I was still full from dinner and I really wasn't hungry. I thought about how awful I would feel after eating the whole bag. :( So, I told him, "Forget it" and I actually stuck to my decision! So, I turned down hot fries and didn't eat after 8:00 p.m. Two small victories!:banana:

We have a busy week ahead of us. We need to take it day by day and step by step and it should be okay. Here's today's plan:

* Homeschool

* Laundry

* Rewards Programs

* eBay: List/Relist

* eBay: Send out

* eBay: Invoice

* Library: Return/Pickup

* Thrift Stores: Need more eBay!

* Grocery Store: Need to plan meals and shop

* Taxes: Start organizing

I think completing each task and then moving on to the next one will help us get this list done today. Our week looks very busy, but we can get through it and do so with flying colors. (I hope! ;) :rotfl: )

Have a great Monday!:cool1:

I'm SO glad your DH is home, relaxing for once! You 2 deserve that!!!

So how has Ebay been??? I listed last night for the 1st time since before Christmas. I HATE the new form! It was a real pain!!

Thanks for the PM - it was JUST what I needed!

Congrats on the Hot Fry victory! That's a good one!

Have an awesome week!

Well done on resisting those fries Tracy :)
Glad you & DH are finally getting to rest!
Have a super week :)

Tracy-way to go on resisting those fries...not sure I would have been able to do that myself! You are doing great, keep up the good work.

Glad to hear your DH is home and relaxing with you....hope you all have fun at the waterpark this week.

Have a great week!

Excellent job resisting the fries! Doesn't that feel good? I have been trying to remember the old saying of "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels". Its so true and you lived that out by resisting instant gratification via hot fries! I am so glad your dh had some time to relax and just hang out this weekend. He needed that and I will surely keep him in my thoughts as he works through some of these things. I hope you had a great day today, that was a big list but you can do it!

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was a good day, but kind of a tough one. We are having some issues with extended family that cause us a great deal of frustration and sadness. It's funny because right now on the radio, they are talking about the story of Joseph and his brothers from the Old Testament. Families are a complicated bunch aren't they? ;)

In any event, we are trying to focus on the positive....:goodvibes

Yesterday I had another victory with food. Last night, I was extremely stressed out and I wanted to turn to my hot fries in a big way. Since my DH is home at night now, I can just send him out and he'll get me some. Well, I fought this battle in my mind for about an hour and when midnight came, I felt a huge sense of relief... The gas station closes then! During the battle of the mind, I realized again that I wasn't physically hungry, just emotionally hungry... About an hour later, my stomach growled and I had a very small bowl of Cheerios without milk. Yes, I did eat after 8:00 p.m., but only because I was truly hungry and I didn't binge. :)

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Start cleaning out bedroom

* Workout

That's all I have scheduled for today. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

Julie~:hug: You are welcome!:hug: eBaying has been okay... Not making huge amounts of money, but I am getting rid of some stuff!:thumbsup2

Tracey, Laurie, and Amy~ Thank you!:grouphug:

Great job resisting the late night fries! You are really listening to your body and not giving in to eating out of habit. You would have felt awful if you would have eaten the fries so late, but instead, you are feeling good about yourself, way to go!!! :thumbsup2

Wow Tracy
you are doing great resisting temptation again :)
Keep up the good work :)
Hope the extended family issues work out soon.

Hello friends,

Boy, has today been a long day and it's only 7:00 p.m.! :( I have been majorly stressed out about the issues with extended family as well as some other things. I am very tense and have the beginnings of a headache. I went outside to get the mail awhile ago and it felt good to get some fresh air. My DH wants to take us out to eat tonight and since we have no food in the house and I am too tired to cook, I think that is a great idea.:goodvibes

The one bright spot in the day was a phone call from a good friend of mine. She helped me to talk some things out and helped me to see things a little bit more clearly.:goodvibes

I am looking forward to our mini-vacation day tomorrow at Kalahari. I am hoping to just relax and have a great time.

If I don't get back here tonight, I will see you Thursday!:goodvibes

Dinner out sounds like a good plan! And the Kalahari sounds like it's just what your family needs right now.

Have a safe, fun day!

I'll miss your :sunny: tomorrow, but am hoping that you can relax, unwind & enjoy!!

Dinner out and your mini vacation sound like just what you need! I agree family is a hard thing to live with or without. You can't win! Generally if I am stressed, there is some family member of mine at the heart of it. But you resisted the urge to hot fry your way out of those feelings so good job! And if you are hungry, you should eat. So its good you listened to your body in reverse order as well. I hope your night out and your day tomorrow rejuvenate your body and soul! Keep up your great work Tracy, you can do it!

Good morning WISH friends,

Before we head out today, I wanted to do my monthly New Year's Resolutions update post. It helps me to see where I am going and where I have been for the month. Here goes:

1. I want to lose 20-25 pounds before we leave for WDW in September. Okay, definitely need some improvement here... I weighed in this morning and I am at 210.8. I am not happy about the number, but it is my fault for not being more focused on my health. I will try and remedy that in March.

2. I want to build up our savings account. Okay, need improvement here too. We haven't added any money to our account since we opened it last month.

3. I want to pay off as much debt as possible. Okay, doing better with this. We have two credit cards paid off as of Monday.

4. I want to become a better cook. I want to cook healthy, balanced meals for my family. Wow.... This one went way out the window this month! Too much eating out and not enough planning of meals. Gotta get back on track here for sure.

5. I want to organize my time better. All I can say about this is that it is in progress. Am I happy with the clutter that is in my house/garage? No, but we have been selling some stuff on eBay so that is a start. When we have a nice day, we plan on tackling the garage full force. As for organizing my time better, I need to turn the TV off during the day like I did last month so things get done. Bottom line here.

All in all, February was not a great month as far as resolutions go. The good thing is that I have identified the problems here and can now address them in the month to come. It does bug me to see that I haven't made much progress this month, but I needed to post this for accountability reasons.

We are leaving this afternoon for Kalahari. I am hoping my DH and I can spend the drive out there talking about our plans and goals for the year ahead and make some decisions about things that are up in the air. That way, when we get to Kalahari, it will be a fun and relaxing time for all of us. We won't be weighed down by all of the serious talk. ;)

Tomorrow, we have to be back early so that I can watch my niece and so my DH can get to Columbus for an installation. In the next week, we will be traveling to Pennsylvania again, Cincinnati, Beavercreek, OH, and Kentucky for work. Whew!

Finally, I would like to ask for you prayers today. First for the situation with our extended family. Second, that we will have wisdom and God's guidance in our goals for the next year. Lastly, for safe travel... We will be driving a lot in the next week!

Have a great day everyone! I'll see you tomorrow or Friday!:goodvibes

P.S. I forgot about our rewards programs this month! So far this month, we have earned:

$25 Disney Gift Card (SR)
$25 Restaurant.com Gift certificate (MP)
$50 Disney Gift Card (QR)
$25 Disney Gift Card (QR)

Our pending amounts include:
$87 with SR (waiting to cash out for more Disney gift cards)
$15 with QR (waiting for credits to post to purchase another Disney gift card)

So, I may make Super Member status at SR this quarter. I think I have until March 31st to do it. Once I become a Super Member, there are additional benefits and higher payouts for offers that I can take advantage of.

Last but not least, we counted out our change jar from December-Middle of February and we had $83 in change! :banana:

Have a safe & fun trip to Kalahari Tracy!
Hope you had a nice dinner last night :)

Great job resisting hot fry cravings, not once but twice this week - way to go! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Don't fret about the resolutions. You recognize areas that need to have more focus and that is a good start. Also, this month you have had some other things going on. The best one is how much happier your DH is now that he is not working third shift. That will be such a stres relief for your going forward. You can both have so much more time and energy.

Have fun on your mini trip, and drive safely today and next week on all your travels.

Tracy-I hope you and your family have a safe, relaxing trip to the waterpark today. And I will be thinking of you and your family. I hope the stress with your extended family subsides very soon!

Keep up the good work!
