Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy, I think your nice leisurely walk in the park for activity sounds like a wise idea! You are so busy and all that activity while great might have tired you out to the point where you just don't have the energy to ward off the bad germs! I am so with you on the stress thing (as you could tell by my journal) this time of year is wonderful but so high energy/high maintainence as well! We'll just keep breathing and get trhough it together. And we have our WDW trips to look forward to.

Your headache was probably caused by your mil! Just knowing you were going over there was probably enough to give your head an ache. I will keep your friends and family in my prayers. Hope everything works out well. And keeping you in my prayers too! Good luck with selling some stuff and getting more $$$!

Clean the girls room (a MUST!)
Tracy, :rotfl2: I laughed when I read this! I can definitely relate. last week, DD3 got into her dresser drawers and EMPTIED them! She mixed up all drawers of "too small", "too big still", and "wrong season" stuff. I just threw stuff back in, but I really need to deal with it. Take it easy today. The flu season does seem to hit you with a vengence. The exercise is good for you to reduce stress, but you need to give your body good foods and vitamins too, and get enough sleep, if you can. Hang in there and I hope you are feeling better soon! :grouphug:

Thanks Jaime, Amy, and Anna. :grouphug:

Today was a tough day.... I was not feeling well all day and yet still had to get things done. I homeschooled, put a dent in the laundry (note... did not finish :( ), and got about 80% of the girls room cleaned. We still have the toy box and the dreaded closet to work on. :upsidedow

I also added 45 minutes to my exercise total by doing a leisurely walk and playing some baseball with the girls at the park. It was just enough to get me outside and enjoy the weather and not fall over from feeling sick. :goodvibes

I did speak to my friend who is a fitness director/ personal trainer at the local club and she set me straight on some diet/eating concerned I have had. She also agrees that I need to be mindful of the pattern that is setting up with overexercising and the end of the year. She said that overexercising can cause your immune system to weaken greatly as well..... Something for me to keep in mind.

Tomorrow, I plan on tackling our bedroom and sorting out Christmas presents. I will also homeschool, finish laundry, and walk to vote. DH will most likely be called in to do the exit election polling tomorrow so he will have a total of 4 1/2 hours of sleep in 48 hours. This really worries me, but he insists that he knows what he is doing. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Have a great evening and a great, big, beautiful tomorrow! :sunny:

Good morning WISH friends,

Yesterday was a good day. I had to convince myself to clean our bedroom and it took me awhile to convince myself to do it, but it got done!. :thumbsup2 I am trying to get the entire house cleaned for DD5's birthday party and for our pre-WDW clean house scramble. I hate cleaning at the last minute so hopefully we'll be able to keep the house clean until we leave for WDW. :goodvibes Today.... the office gets cleaned! :scared1:

I am kind of glad that the election is over. I was getting tired of the negative ads and a mailbox stuffed to the brim with political advertisements.The good thing is that we only use our home phone for internet and faxes so no political calls for us this year! :thumbsup2 I still have no idea what some of the candidates actually stood for. :confused3

DH said that the exit polling he did went well yesteeday. He was super tired though! In the past 48 hours, he had about 3 and 1/2 hours of sleep. :eek: I asked him to call off of work last night so he could sleep and he did.... So far, he's been sleeping for almost 9 hours! :thumbsup2

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Grocery Store

* Clean the office :scared1:

* Christmas and WDW planning at lunch

* Pay bills :crazy2: :rotfl:

* Workout

* Post office

* Relax :confused3

Whew! I didn't realize that I had so much to do today..... Good things DDs and DH are helping me out! :grouphug:

Have a great Wednesday! :sunny:

Hello!!

Sorry I haven't been here in a while but good to see that you are doing well!!

Thanks for the info on the overtraining and how it weakens the immune system. I'll also have to keep that in mind as my training time increases over the next 6 weeks.

Good to see your DH getting some rest!! 3.5 hours of sleep over a 48 hour period is not a good thing!

And I'm with you on the election materials that bombard us thru the mail and over the phone. I think next time, I'm gonna keep a list and every candidate who called me will NOT get my vote. :thumbsup2

Nothing like some good ol' WDW planning to lift the spirits!!

Hope you have a great day!!

Go Bucks!

Hi Tracy. Sounds like you did what I did yesterday, bedroom cleaning! Feels good huh? I actually began packing for WDW :cool1: . I am ready for my trip, how bout you? Your exercise looks awesome again this month, keep it up! And I am so with you on the election. May it rest in Peace! I got so sick of the ads on tv I was about ready to scream. The world is crazy with this political stuff. Ran into two friends yesterday, have known them both for 30 plus years, hadn't seen them in months. Did they ask about my kids or life? Nope, just started in on politics, giving me grief for having a certain sign in my front yard. I told dh we shouldn't do that since it gives people a license to judge! Okay rant over. Have a great day, I hope your dh gets lots of rest, he needs it!

P.S. How is your mom (and dad too) doing?

:eek: You've started packing already?!?!?! :worship: That is wonderful, Amy! :thumbsup2 I am still trying to clean my house! :faint: We only have about 1000 square feet to clean and yet, I have managed to drag it on and on and on..... :blush: My DDs birthday party is next Sunday..... I better get movin'! :moped: :rotfl:

Hello WISH friends,

:idea: I finally figured something out! You know how I have been wondering why I am getting sick around this time of year and how it's not a constant sickness, but variable? It's only taken me two years to figure this out.....

It's my allergies! (Insert smilie smacking head!) :sad2:

Can you believe that it has taken me two years? :rolleyes: I was puzzled by the fact that feeling sick didn't happen everyday. A couple of days I would feel good and then a couple of days later, I would feel yucky again. It all clicked for me when I found my allergy meds today. Obviously, I've not been taking them ;) Geez... :blush:

Today has been a pretty good day. Mom and I had it out this morning, but things seem okay now. Other than that, I got a spiffy new haircut and DH got some good news about work.... he's got work! :rotfl:

I still have to homeschool today and finish the never ending loads of laundry, but I think I am going to try and chill out the rest of the night. Hope everyone has a great Friday! :sunny:

You know I wondered if it could be allergies and kept meaning to ask you about that! My allergies are worse in the fall than they are in the spring. Around here, I generally need several really hard frosts to clear them out. When I don't see any bees around anymore I know the trees are dormant and I'm safe. Still hasn't happened. The other day I had 6 inches of snow on the ground and the bees were still buzzing around my tree! In any case, I hope your allergy meds do the trick, if not, switch to a different one, the one that works for me in the spring, doesn't work in the fall for some reason :confused3 .

Good job having it out with mom (strange to say I know). But I think sometimes clearing the air is the only way to go. And very good news dh has work! What a relief this time of year. I hope it all goes well, keeping you guys in my prayers for all that you have going on. :grouphug:

I started packing because I was trying to get our summer clothes out of the closets. I still have more to do but have to do that closer in. I am just trying sooo hard to get and maintain organization this holiday season so that a crazy life doesn't wreak havoc with my healthy eating plan and exercise!

Happy Weekend!

I hear ya WISH sis! :hug: I started putting summer clothes away a few weeks ago and haven't finished since. :blush: I'm not sure what my problem is. :confused3 Usually, I have lists of things to do before we go to WDW and I am a flurry of pre-WDW activity. This year, I just can't seem to get my stuff together. :sad2:

Good morning WISH buddies,

Today looks to be a super busy day! Here's my schedule:

* Workout (Done!) Super Body Sculpt... the FIRM

* DH's invoices for work (DONE!)

* Homeschool

* Walk to the bank/make a deposit

* Laundry :(

* Confirm DD's reservations for her birthday party next weekend.

* Work 5-9:30 p.m.

Plus, my DH will be working like crazy before we go to WDW.... 10-18 hours a day/6 days a week. One financial blessing that we thought might come through for us, fell through today. :( We weren't counting on it, but it sure would have helped!

I really feel a need to get my act together before we leave for WDW. Maybe I'll have a brainstorming session after work this evening.....Waiting till the last minute to get stuff done stresses me out so if I can bite the bullet (so to speak) and get this stuff planned out and actually DONE, then leaving for WDW will be a breeze. (Or so I hope. ;) )

Have a great weekend!

Updated to add...... Exercise minutes for the day.... 45 Super Cardio Sculpt; 45 minutes walking; 30 minutes super vacuum cleaning (I sweat more vacuuming the store than I do working out sometimes. ;) ) Total.....120 minutes for today.

Hey Tracy-you are ALWAYS super busy!! I hope you get some time to relax this weekend..You can always come on the cruise with me!

Im sorry that something fell through for you today--i know that is hard!

You know what i did? I wrote down everything that i wanted to get done before the trip..it was such a sense of accomplishment crossing things off as i got them done and seeing the list get shorter and shorter..When i write things down, it makes me feel like i HAVE to get them done!

This will probably the last time i get to your journal before I leave so have a great week next week!! Try not to miss me too much ;) If anything exciting happens, PM me because ill be on the computer on the ship, but wont have time to come to journals, except maybe an update on my journal!
See ya next week ;)

Good morning WISH buddies,

Let's sum up the weekend so far, shall we? :teeth:

Too much food + too little exercise= :faint: :rotfl:

Seriously, I ate way too much food yesterday. :( I didn't get any exercise in because it was cold and rainy, but I did manage a 45 minute walk this morning. I do have to work tonight too so I am hoping that stocking shelves, ringing the register, and vacuuming the store will burn some of the extra food off as well. :thumbsup2

My last batch of eBay auctions before we leave for WDW will be ending tonight.... Please send :wizard: !

I was hoping to get some serious cleaning done today, but the rest of my family is still asleep! Instead, I will leave a list of things for them to do while I go to work. ;)

We have a super busy week ahead of us:

Mon: DH will be working about 18 hours.

Tues: DH will be working about 12-16 hours. I work 5-9:30 p.m.

Wed: DD5's field trip to Quaker Square. Chuck E Cheese

Thurs: DD5's birthday! :love: DH will be working about 18 hours

Fri: DH will be working about 18 hours. Celebrate DD5's birthday with DH's family

Sat: DD5's birthday party with friends.

Sun: DD5's birthday party at our house.

Mon: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

Next week, we will start getting everything ready for Christmas and for WDW. We may end up needing a vacation from our vacation. ;)

Hope everyone has a great Sunday! :sunny:

:grouphug: Wow Tracy!! Busy, busy week ahead sweetie! Happy early b'day to your little one!! :cheer2: And good luck on those auctions! I'll send you some ebay PD!!!! :wizard: I STILL need to get my stuff up there...maybe today is the day. I think you might have inspired me Tracy :).

Have a wonderful week. Enjoy all the birthday festivities and remember to take a few moments for yourself each day!!!! :goodvibes

You've got a very busy week ahead of you but I know you'll pull through. Great idea about leaving a list for your family while you are at work - you don't have to do everything yourself, nothing wrong with everyone pitching in. Here's some :wizard: for your auctions.

Wowee - talk about a busy week ahead. Make sure you find the time to breathe. :teeth: At least you know there is a reward ahead, aka Walt Disney World!!! Keep the eye on the prize. Hope Ebay works out for you. Sending you lots of pixie dust! :wizard: Happy early birthday wishes to dd!! Hope your week goes well and try your darndest to find time for yourself! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! :grouphug:

I was looking at my to do list yesterday and decided to cut some stuff out.... Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Workout

* laundry

* Clean the Front Room

* Add up the change jar

* Work

* Get eBay stuff sent out

That's all for today.... I will try and get to journals later on this evening... Have a great day! :sunny:

Good job cutting some things out of that list, that will cut some stress out too! And I cannot believe your exercise totals, 700 minutes and the month isn't even half over, good for you! It sounds like you have a busy week ahead, just take a deep breath and hang in there. I am sorry the financial blessing/need did not work out but it sounds like dh is getting some serious hours in so that should help (but it makes me tired just looking at those hours listed). I hope today is a good one for you, dd's birthday is this week! Enjoy Chuck E. Cheese's (I happen to love their pizza). WDW is getting closer for us both! Do me a favor, you guys eat all the Mickey Bars before I get there okay?

Hi Tracy
I'm sooo glad your trip to WDW is going ahead :)
& that DH work is going well :)
We were in wdw when all the election hype was on, i couldnt believe how nasty some of the adverts were - not much about politics, just pulling the other person to pieces!!!
I thought that only happened in the UK press :)
Hope you have a good week

Good morning WISh buddies... Thanks everyone who stopped by! :goodvibes

First of all, I am so sorry for not getting to journals yet... I am hoping to get to them this afternoon or evening....

Today looks to be a busy, but fun day for us..My DD5 has a field trip today where she will learn how to bake a pie. Then she gets to make her own to bring home! :thumbsup2 We'll stop for lunch and the Disney Store afterwards and then DH has to work. Tomorrow, DD5 will officially turn 6! :love:

I've been keeping up with my exercise, but food has been a whole different story. I'm not eating too much food, just eating late at night. :( I have no intentions of hopping on the scale until right before we leave for WDW... That way I can see how much I gain on vacation. :blush:

Today's Plan:

* Field Trip

* Homeschool

* Change Jar

* Clean the office (?)

* Help DH with paperwork/research

* Send out eBay

* Do a Christmas craft with the kids

* Decorate for DD's birthday... Shhhhh!
:ssst:
That's about all for today. I will try and get to journals at some point today. I'm sorry I haven't been around as much....

Have a great day!

~Tracy

P.S. Amy.... my DDs said that they would like to take you up on the Mickey bars challenge! :rotfl:
:mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar
