Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy

Just wanted to stop by and say that I'm really impressed with your positive outlook and I love the way you are assessing your daily goals. It's a very healthy approach and I wish you continued success.

I know I haven't been around here in a while but it's nice to get back and check in on everyone!!! I'm glad to see you are still posting and remaining as positive AND busy as ever.

I second Amy's thoughts here. It's so great to see you staying so positive and still posting your successes. Keep up the great work!!

I HATE Mirrors!!! (Could we have a mirror bashing party?????)

Scales, too!!

I've been faithful at reading & keeping up here, just never enough time to keep posting.

Your journaling & plan sound like what you need right now.

Hang in there!

How's mom???

Have a good rest of the week!
You're in my Prayers!!

Hey Tracy--sorry to have been MIA lately, I have been finding it harder and harder to keep up. Sorry to hear you had a bad day last week. We all have those sometimes.

Your goals look great. I like the no scale goal....I think that is a good idea!

Hope you get through this long week!

Keep up the good work!

Good evening WISH friends,

Life has been very busy and very stressful the past few days. :( I knew that this was going to be one busy month, but I didn't think it would be so crazy.
:crazy2:

Here's a sample of the next few days:

Today: DH is unexpectedly in Pittsburgh. Family visiting from Florida. Invoicing needs to be finished. Bills sent out.

Tomorrow: Pick up rental car. DH has a job in Western Ohio. We have to get clothes for graduation when he gets home and get ready to leave for Illinois. Invoicing needs to be done.

Saturday: Leave for Illinois no later than 6:00 a.m. Drive 7 hours, go to graduation, eat dinner with family (meet brother's new girlfriend), and head back to Ohio with another 7 hours of driving.

Sunday: sleep in a bit, figure out what to buy moms for Mother's Day, buy it, and get ready for work on Monday. Mow grass, get some homeschooling done.

Monday: DH has a local job.

Tuesday: Return car rental.

That doesn't include any jobs that may pop up between now and then or our day to day work. Not only that, but my computer decided to be a pain again and I have to figure out how to fix it.:rolleyes: Is June here yet?

Goals for the week:
1. Exercise: 5/6
2. Food Journal: 6/6
3. No scale: 6/6

As for exercise, I think we are going to stop doing Power 90 exclusively and rotate some other workouts in to our plan.

I may not get back here before Sunday so Happy Mother's Day everyone!:flower3:

Amy~ Thanks for your words of encouragement! :hug: If I write a book someday and I make millions of dollars, I'll treat you and your family to WDW! Or better yet, we can write the diet/ exercise book together, make a billion dollars, and move to Florida once and for all and leave winter behind. Woohoo!:woohoo:

Amy and Scott~ Thanks for stopping by! It's great to see you both posting again.:goodvibes That's great that you both plan on doing the Goofy... still not sure what the Goofy is though. ;):rotfl: Welcome Back!:hug:

Julie~ Thanks WISH sis. I understand how busy you are. :hug: Thanks for your prayers. We definitely need them!:hug:

Laurie~ Thanks for your words of encouragement!:hug:

Hi, sweetie! I have been missing you and just had time to catch up on your journal.
I am so sorry that you had that unhappy encounter with a mirror. First of all, I really do not believe those mirrors are accurate. Sometimes they seem as warped as fun house mirrors, but without the fun. I agree that you should have DH take a picture of you in your favorite outfit and then put that somewhere you can see it. But again, just remember that picture doesnt' show who you are. It doesn't even show how the world sees you. It just captures a moment in time. Think about it -- in some pix, our hair looks great or bad; our complexion may be awful, our eyes bright or dull, our bodies bloated or not. Remember -- you are so much more than anyone could ever describe, Tracy!

All that being said, I am so glad that you are planning to journal. I have gone back and looked at my weight loss journey and had to face the fact that when I wasn't journaling my food, I wasn't losing. When I journaled food before I ate it I tended to be so much more aware of the calories and whether the food was really fuel for my body. If I didn't journal until after I ate a meal, I could only deal with the consequences. It was very reactive instead of proactive.

Good luck, my dear WISH friend. You manage so much else in your life. I know you can do whatever will bring you joy and fulfillment and satisfaction in this situation. Remember, there is NOTHING else we can control in our lives the way we can control how we take care of ourselves. (yes, I am trying to convince myself of all this stuff, too, and to practice what I preach! :rolleyes: ;) )

Great job with your goals this week. You're doing awesome! (I'm not sure that was grammatically correct :lmao:)

You are so busy, I know what you mean about finding time to breathe. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and an excellent Mother's Day!

Wow, you are one busy lady. Don't forget to take a few minutes for yourself this weekend. You have certainly earned it. ;) Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. Oh, and good job on your goals! :thumbsup2

Tracy, look how well you are doing, making those goals amid this stress and business! I hope you have a great trip to Illinois, that is a bunch of driving to do in such a short time! We have done that before going to Texas, it goes fast but it takes it out of you! Happy Mother's Day and definitely write that book so we can go to WDW! Have a great weekend Wish Sis, "see" you next week!

Have a Happy Mother's Day weekend, Tracy!

I'll be praying you have a good, SAFE trip to Illinois. Hopefully it will end up an enjoyable drive.

Keep hanging in there. You really ARE doing AWESOME!!!

Hi Tracy...

Love that you are keeping track of those goals. Such a great idea for your journal :).

Just wanted to stop by and wish you luck on your very very busy week ahead. I truly hope you have a wonderful weekend.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Hey Tracy. As usual for me, it's been a while. :rolleyes: But I wanted to pop by & say...

:love: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! :love:

Thank you so much everyone!

We're getting ready to leave for Illinois right now,but I wanted to stop by and wish all the moms out there a Happy Mother's Day!:flower3: Have a wonderful weekend everyone and I'll see ya real soon!:goodvibes

Hi Tracy-
I wanted to say happy mother's day!! i hope you are having a great day! (Check "over there"--thank you post on my journal :goodvibes:)

Thanks everyone!:grouphug:

We had a great weekend....Graduation went well. We had a chance to meet my brother's girlfriend too. The drive wasn't so bad especially since my DH and I had some really great conversations.:love: Mother's Day was good too although I think we should petition the powers-that-be for a Mother's Week!;) :lmao:

Today looks to be a busy, but manageable day....

* Laundry

* Workout

* Food Journal

* Homeschool

I'm not sure what else is going on for the day. I know that I have some computer work to catch up on (Thank you, Lord! After much stressing, the computer is fixed!:yay: ), some invoicing to catch up on, and some bills to catch up on. Also, it's our last day with the car rental so we'll be driving around and enjoying that.:goodvibes

I am kind bummed about a couple of things for our Sept. trip to WDW.... One, Spaceship Earth will be closed. :sad1: Two, the Tusker House will be closed as well. Since watching WDW Unwrapped on the Food Network a few years ago, I have wanted to eat there and try their chicken. Since it will be closed, we've decided not to go to AK this time around. Hopefully, they won't close anything else in September.

Well, that's about it from here...I'm off to workout. Have a great Monday!:cool1:

Hi Tracy,

Sounds like you had a nice weekend and Mother's Day :).

Sorry to hear about the closures for your Disney trip. Hopefully that will be all though! I know they have to do it but it still stinks :(. They had closed RnRC last time I was there which was a total bummer!

Anyway, good luck with your busy day!!! And ITA....a Mother's Week would be LOVELY!!!!

Thanks Amy!:hug:

Good morning friends,

I only have a couple of minutes to post.... We just got back from returning the rental car and will be leaving in a few minutes to go to a couple of jobs with my DH.

I'm trying to get back to that healthy living road. I noticed that I tend to eat more when I'm not journaling and due to the computer issues, I wasn't journaling at the end of last week. I did journal yesterday and started today's.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Finish laundry

* Disney Store for Disney Dollars

* Thrift store?

* Work with DH

* Workout

* Rewards Programs

I'll try and come back later and get to journals.... Have a great day!

HI Tracy,

Glad to hear that you computer is back up and running. That is the pits when it is down.

I am sorry to hear that some things will be closed for your WDW trip in September. That stinks. Let's just hope that nothing else closes while you are there.

Keep up the good work!!!!

Have a great day :)
