Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy
Sorry your not feeling 100%, hopefully its a 24 hr thing :)
Food looks good & well done for controlling your portions :)
Hope the weather holds out for you
have a great weekend :)

Good morning friends,

It looks like we will be heading out to Erie today.... While out there, we plan to stop at a mall for some walking and maybe a Chuck E Cheese for the girls if we can find one.
When we get home, I'd like to work on cleaning up and organizing the house.

The book I am reading by Lisa Whelchel (Blair/Facts of Life) is a good one! I'll give a report once I'm finished.

Yesterday's Food:
B; None
L: Turkey/ cheese sub sandwich (6 inch); 2 handfuls of Doritos
D: 2 pcs. of italian herb fish, 3 cups of macaroni and cheese
S: chips and dip (didn't stay down... does that count? ;) )
S: 1/2 pc. of cheescake
S: loaded baked potato
Exercise: 10 minute walk; not feeling well :(

Have a great weekend! B)

You are still having stomach problems? This has gone on for a long time now. It might be time to go back to the Dr's and figure out what is going on. You have a good food journal (WISH :thumbsup2 ), so you can take that with you and see if the Dr can see something that is triggering your tummy troubles.

Have a nice time in PA. :)

I agree with Anna - usually stomach bugs only last a day or two, enough to get the yuckies flushed out of your system. You've been dealing with this for weeks, I'd at least give your Dr a call and let him know what's going on. Take care of yourself!!

Thanks Amy and Anna!:grouphug: I'm not really sure what is going on.... I was sick and then my DD was sick so maybe I just got rounds 1 and 2 of the "bug" this year. I also recently started on a new BC pill so maybe my stomach doesn't like that either. I do feel better now, but if I start not feeling well again, I will go back to the doctor. Thanks!:grouphug:

This weekend has gone by way too fast! :( We went to Erie yesterday and DH finished his two jobs. We then went to TGI Fridays for dinner and then headed for the mall. Got some Disney Dollars (:yay: ), baseball hats (for DDs for Florida in Septmber),and a pair of princess jeans for my DD6. ( She is not into princesses so I was surprised she wanted the jeans!) When we got home, my DD6 worked on her loose tooth and after awhile, she lost her first tooth! She cried a bit, but was very excited to show off her missing tooth.

We didn't do much too today and that was a good thing.... We just rested, relaxed, and thought a little bit about the week ahead. I think I am going to have the TV off during the day this week.... Maybe we can get this house cleaned and organized yet!;)

Eating has been okay....

Saturday:
B: None (long story....:rolleyes1 )
L/D: Chicken Something or Other with Angel Hair Pasta @ Friday's, mac n-cheese bites, 1 bite of cheesecake
S: 2 cinammon sugar pretzel sticks Auntie Annies, Coke
S: Doritos and Cheddar Cheese
Exercise: Walked the mall for 1.5 hours

Sunday:
B/L: Scrambled Eggs and Cheese, Corned Beef Hash, Fried Potatoes, Wheat Toast
S: Frozen Yogurt with Nuts, 1/2 McDonalds Apple Pie
D; Beef Tips and Noodles, Mashed Potatoes
S: 4 Handfuls of Doritos
Exercise: 20 minutes of dance

Looking back on my food this weekend, it hasn't been horrific, but it's not all that great either. The truth is that the only thing I really enjoyed eating this weekend was the Frozen Yogurt... The rest left me feeling heavy and yucky... too many carbs. :( I'm glad tomorrow is a new day!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Mondays are not my thing. ;)

I think I am going to stop using Sunday as my planning day and start using Monday as my planning day. That way, I can rest more on Sunday and since much doesn't seem to get done on Monday, then I can sit around and plan my week on Monday. We'll see how this works out.....

Today, we are going to the bank to open savings accounts for the girls and for my DH and I. My DH got a small bonus from the temp. agency last week so we are going to use that and some of my "rewards programs" money to start ours. The girls will start each of theirs with $20 and then add to it as they earn money for chores and get money for birthdays. We also have ING accounts so maybe we'll put some money in there to earn more interest. It's nice having a nearby bank to deposit money into even if you're not getting the same interest rate.

Other plans for today:

* Homeschooling x 2

* laundry (It's Monday!)

* Disney planning :cloud9:

* Planning for the week

No workout scheduled today.... I just don't feel like it.:rolleyes1 I will get my new FIRM workout in tomorrow because I have to return it to the library.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!:goodvibes

Hi Tracy- just because you were having wacky weather in Ohio, doesn't mean you have to send it over here to PA!! :rotfl2:  It snowed yesterday enough to make an icy mess here today, and it keeps sleeting/snowing here this morning. Blech, is winter over yet??? I find it hard to eat well and workout when I get these winter blues.

It sounds like you had fun in Erie this weekend, and I am glad that you are feeling better! Great job on eating this weekend- I find when I am out somewhere, my eating goes downhill quick.

Have fun setting up the savings accounts today- I just set one up for ds about 2 weeks ago, and I bought him a "Mater" bank to save up change around the house for doing chores for our trip in December. I guess it's never too early to teach kids how to save. I am 30 and still trying to figure it out, lol. ;) Great job on doing that!

Have a great week!

Hi Tracy, sometimes I laugh at our parallel lives! I bought Disney Dollars this weekend too and also put some money into my long forgotten ING account. I am with you on the Monday's thing. Hate em! I hope you are feeling better, if I didn't know better I might think you were pregnant with all that nausea and queasiness! I think your new bc pill could very well be the culprit. In any case, no more stomach woes for you! I am also with you on the too much carbs thing. I pretty much ate nothing but carbs all weekend long. At least its a new week. Keep up the hard work!:thumbsup2

Hi Tracy- just because you were having wacky weather in Ohio, doesn't mean you have to send it over here to PA!! :rotfl2:

Sorry about that! ;):rotfl: We're still having snow and frigid temperatures today... The good news? Oh yeah... It's supposed to get even colder this week!:scared1:

Thaks Lisa! We have always "wanted" to start savings accounts for all of us, but never found the time to do it. :rolleyes1 One of our goals this year is to save more, pay down our debt more, and go on vacation more! :rotfl: We do have two trips scheduled to WDW this year (one with free dining), but we are working hard on the other two areas as well. :goodvibes

Thanks for stopping by! Hope the weather improves out your way soon!:beach:

Hi Tracy, sometimes I laugh at our parallel lives!

Me too, Amy!:goodvibes I think God introduced us through WISH for a reason! ;)

I hope you are feeling better, if I didn't know better I might think you were pregnant with all that nausea and queasiness! I think your new bc pill could very well be the culprit. In any case, no more stomach woes for you!

:scared1: I know I'm definitely not pregnant! (I've been having TOM for the past 2 weeks thanks to the new BC pills. ) Having my kids act up the way they have been lately has been squelching my desire to have any more kids. ;) They have been arguing and bickering and disobeying something fierce lately. :( Thanks for the laugh though!:rotfl:

Hello WISH buddies,

What a long day! My house is still a mess, my kids are still having problems obeying and getting along, the weather is blah, and I'm tired of TOM.... This two week visit has lasted long enough! Other than that, I'm doing well. ;):rotfl:

We opened the savings accounts today, I got some of my DH's billing done, I did laundry, did homeschooling, and I made dinner.... Now, I am ready for bed.

Food Today:
L: Grilled Cheese Sandwich, 1/2 cup of potato salad
S: orange
D: 1 large piece of lasagna
Exercise: 15 minute walk

Not sure what is on the agenda for tomorrow.... I didn't plan the rest of the week yet! ;)

Have a good evening!:goodvibes

Hey I had lasagne tonight too! You have a lot going on and you are doing very well. This time of year is so hard because the days are too cold and it gets stir crazy with the kids being cooped up more. Just hang in there, spring will be here soon (you know in about three months ;) ).

I hope your TOM goes away very soon. A two week visit with that is really not fair. Thanks for the pm's, they made my day!

Morning Tracy:) Sounds like you have been very busy. What with :teacher: and:laundy: and don't forget:yay: . Did you check out a new exercize vid ? Hard for me to do aerobics on the truck! hehe Hope the rest of your week is calmer.:tink:

Thanks Amy and Judy!:grouphug:

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was quite a discouraging day.... My DH is really struggling with his third shift job. He feels like it is robbing him of his energy so that he isn't as productive during the day as he would like to be. He is also struggling with the weather. He really (and I mean really!) wants to move to Florida. I do too... It's just that I want us to be on much firmer financial ground before we leave Ohio. I also don't feel like the Lord is leading us to leave Ohio just yet. Please send any good thoughts/ prayers that you can for him. Yesterday was a tough day for him. :(

I woke up this morning and could not find the motivation to exercise. Why? Because my mind is wrapped around the clutter and disorganization that is my life right now. Last night, I found some great ideas for organizing my time, for correcting my children's behavior, and for spending more time with the Lord. It was around 2:00 a.m. when I read about all of these things and so today, I want to do some more in depth reading and researching. For some reason, I am craving order in my life right now. I know that may sound strange, but I really want to get organized. Is it because the Lord is planning a move for us and organization would help? Does He want us to to bloom where we are planted for the next couple of years so organization is key? I don't know. I do know that right now, I don't have order and organization and the chaos that ensues causes a lack of creativity and very frustrated parents. :(

I'm going to spend a lot of time this week praying about this, talking about this with my DH, and researching ways and implementing ways to help make life much more organized. I have to do this... It's in the best interest of my family and will give us more time to spend with each other and God.

Thanks for letting me talk this out. Have a great Tuesday!:goodvibes

I hope you are able to get everything that you planned accomplished today. Remember that you won't become 100% organized overnight, pick a certain area and work on that, and once that is done, pick another area, etc.

You can do it!! :cheer2:

Hi Tracy,

Just coming to check how you are doing. Happy belated Holidays. Pick one thing, whether it be finances, weight loss, organizing your house, etc. and tackle it head on. It is hard to try to do too many things and be good at it. For almost 9 months now for us it was finances. We were doing fine with it before, but I wanted to put more away for our retirement/kid's college and get more paid off on our house. So that has been my focus and really my only extra focus, other than the kids which are a given. I really made alot of extra $$ this year and we are where we want to be. I can't tell you the freedom I feel accomplishing this goal. This year I hope to do 2 mini goals. I want to work out again regularly and organize my house. Now that I am working more steadily and have gotten used to that in the last year, I don't feel like I have to tackle it as strong if that makes any sense. So even though I will still work, it isn't a goal for this year, it is just a thing I do. I feel like it is now a given, kind of like exercising used to be for me everyday.:rolleyes1 Exercise really fell by the wayside because I really needed to focus on work and not worry about other things that were distracting me or making me choose between work or another activity. About a year ago I felt like I wanted to do so much and really I was spinning my wheels. I embraced that one thing, getting a more steady job and focused on it. Now I feel like I can embrace 2 smaller things as they aren't as time consuming as working. You can do it. It really will make you happier once you pick what you want to do. Good luck. Until next time I check on you, take care.

Hi Tracy
I had lasagne today too!!!!
I hope your organisation gets organised!!!!
& i hope you make the move to florida....just so i can visit :)
Have a great (& organised) week
Tracey x

Thanks Amy, wilderness, and Tracey!:grouphug:

Today was an okay day.... We went with DH on a job and he dropped us off at the local McDonalds where the kids could play while I read a book. It was relaxing just to sit and read.....

Food Today:
B: Banana
L: Chicken Wrap and 1/3 of a large fry at McDonalds
S: Ice cream Cone
D: 2 small pieces of lasagna
S: 3 handfuls of chips
Exercise: None... I'm feeling it!:scared:

Tomorrow, I will be having breakfast with my friend who just had a baby.... It will be nice to meet the baby and have some time to catch up. It worked out well because she lives by my DH's next jobsite so he will drop us off and he'll go to work.

I've got a lot to think about in terms of my resolutions.... Maybe I bit off more than I can chew at this point... I'm going to do some re-evaluating and praying over the next few days....

Hope everyone has a great night!:goodvibes

I used to love to go to McD's and read or chat with a friend while the kids played. You did well there today, thats not easy to do with the fry aroma you can't help but inhale! Try to get a workout in tomrorrow, it will make you feel better. And enjoy your breakfast with your friend, be careful that might make you want a new baby too! If you have to ax a resolution do so. Better to keep a few less than chuck it all later because you feel overwhelmed. Resolutions are always subject to reevaluation!

Glad you got a bit of 'down' time yesterday. That always is a good thing!!

Hope DH situation is improving. I'm still praying. FL would be SO NICE!!!!

Was seeing the new baby wonderful??? Just don't get the 'baby bug'!

Have a great rest of the week.
