Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hey Tracy~
I just wanted to give you the encouragement you've given me on my journal. Thank you so much!
Also, sending major p&pd your way on DH's job situation. :wizard:
I also hope you get to feeling better soon. This sinus infections has really taken a turn on you. Might have to call the Dr. and tell him what's going on...the antibiotics might be what's upsetting your stomach:confused3

And here's some more pixiedust: that you will get organized and everything will fall into place for you.

have a great weekend-you deserve it!!

Hi Tracy

For you & DH, hope everything turns out well for the job.
Hope you feel better soon :hug:

Thanks everyone!:grouphug:

I think I am starting to feel better!:cheer2: This is the first morning in days that I have woken up without feeling nauseous or without a headache!:banana: Woohoo!

I managed a FIRM workout this morning.... Total Sculpt + Abs. It really felt good! The one thing that bothered me (still does)..... is that I have been working out pretty regulary for 4 years now and I am still around the same weight I was when I started. (I started at 226.) It was frustrating this morning to do the moves to the video that I have been doing for a couple of years now and realize that I am still the same weight! Blah!:headache: Change needs to happen this year!

DH and I get to go out to eat by oursleves tonight! Yeah! I am hoping we can kind of come up with some plans and ideas for the year ahead.... We both have goals that we want to accomplish and we will need each other to help achieve them....

Today's Plan:

* Workout (Done!)

* Homeschool (History only)

* Bills and paperwork:scared:

* Dinner with DH

* straightening the house... major cleaning and organizing in the next couple of weeks!

Our trip to Erie, PA went well yesterday. My DDs saw a place there called Splash Lagoon... it's an indoor waterpark. They told me that,"We must go there, mom and we promise to be good!":rotfl:

DH did here back from the subcontractor yesterday and it appears that he may have gotten some extra work coming! :woohoo: Praise the Lord!:cool1:

Resolution Reminder:

* I want to lose 20-25 pounds before we leave for WDW in September.

* I want to build up our savings account.

* I want to pay off as much debt as possible.

* I want to become a better cook. I want to cook healthy, balanced meals for my family.

* I want to organize my time better.

My plan is to update my progress on my resolutions at the end of each month. Gee, maybe that should be a resolution too!:rotfl:

Have a great weekend!:goodvibes

Sounds like things are starting to get better for you! :thumbsup2

I like the fact that you will update progress on your resolutions monthly. Not many people do that!

And don't get frustrated about the workout DVD. I bet when you started doing it you struggled with all the moves. Now you can do them, so you are way more fit than you were 4 years ago, no matter what the scale says! :goodvibes

Tracy, so glad you are feeling better and that this opportunity has come up for your dh! Maybe a trip to that indoor water park is in order in the near future to celebrate! And all I can tell you about the not losing weight is that exercise is huge and very important but food is the bigger equation. My personal trainer told me that after I had been working out very faithfully for around five years with no weight loss. I am not all discounting exercise but in the end, even intensive exercise like jogging can only burn so many calories. So I have learned that food is my area that I need to work on and that exercise is a very helpful and important tool. But for the big loss in pounds I just have to stick to a very disciplined, steady food program. And I'm still struggling with that. Last year between January and June I lost 27 pounds with not much in the way of exercise (maybe 2-3 times a week). As soon as I started fudging on my WW points I stopped losing even though I bumped up my exercise. It is so darn hard! Just a lot of bases to cover.

I really like your idea of updating those resolutions monthly. Mind if I steal that for me? Maybe if I have to post my progress, I'll stick to them! Keep feeling better!:hug:

Tracy-
It sounds like the opportunity for your husband is good!!
I know what you mean about staying at the same weight, but tihs is our year for a difference :goodvibes:
I am glad to see you are feeling better and i love the idea of updating the resolutions monthly--iu may have to steal that too :)

Tracy-
I know what you mean about staying at the same weight, but tihs is our year for a difference :goodvibes:

I love that, Jen!:thumbsup2 This is our year for a difference!:goodvibes What a great motto for our New Year's Resolutions! I may have to put that in my signature.:goodvibes

Good morning WISH friends,

I'm not sure how today will play out.... My plan was to start a major cleaning/organizing campaign in my house and I just don't have the energy to do it. (Or the motivation!:rotfl: ) I may straighten the house up a bit and then work on the rest later on this week.

I did a FIRM workout on Saturday and I am very sore today!:headache: I enjoyed the workout though and am looking to get back into FIRMing more often.

Weigh-in is Wednesday......:eek: Little nervous about that.:rolleyes1

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Book car rentals for vacations, graduation for my DBro.

* Color my hair

* Bookstore

* Make dinner (lasagna!)

* Straighten the house a bit

* Finish laundry (almost done!)

Thank your for your continued good thoughts/ prayers for DH.... I am praying that he continues to get lots of good paying work consistently so that he can quit that third shift job. He made more last week doing service calls than he makes in three weeks at his job!:eek: Praise the Lord!:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Monday!:cool1:

Hi Tracy
Glad DH's work is going well :)
How did your dinner go?
Have a great week

Hi, Tracy! I am finally back and trying to catch up on journals. I am so sorry you were so sick for so many days. I hope you are feeling better. And praise God that your DH has had some income producing opportunities. I am sorry your kids were a handful for a couple of days, but it always seems to be the case when Mom is under the weather.
Thank you so much for your support in my journal, sweetie. Still WISHing you all good things every day, dear WISH friend! :hug:

Hi Tracey, I really hope things continue to go well with your dh's job! I am sending some prayers your way for just that! I am also glad you are feeling better. I also got a lot of laundry today, must have been laundry vibes in the air for us both! And remember that staying the same weight for four years is better than gaining. Given all that you have been through that is something. Now you can take some off and really be over the hump! Just hang in there and don't despair or give up!

Tracy, It looks like things are finally starting to turn around for your family :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: . That is wonderful. I'm sure that the weight loss problems will turn around too. :cheer2: :cheer2: Great idea updating your NY resolutions monthly too.

Good evening friends,

Today has been a long and tiring day.... I got most of my to do list done, but this messy house is just bugging the heck out of me!:headache: I want it cleaned and organized, but can't find the motivation.... Tomorrow, I have to get it started!

I ate way too much..... I can't wait to workout tomorrow morning! Hopefully, my muscles won't be as sore.....

TOM has made a surprise showing.... There was a mixup in my prescription so things are kind of out of whack right now. :(

If you have any clean house motivation, please send some my way. ;)

Have a good evening!:goodvibes

Good Morning Tracy:wave2:
My motivation was the show clean sweep. I didn't want to be like those folks. Now if I could just be better about the :laundy: ! Thanks for checking on me. I will try to pop by next weekend. Oh, oh, oh, I got a cruise for Christmas! Booked if yesterday for March 4th.:beach:

Good morning friends,

I was getting ready to try a new FIRM workout this morning and as I was previewing it, I realized it was a tough one. I opted for Cardio Sculpt Blaster which is a 30 minute workout with light cardio and light weights. The other video, Maximum Body Sculpting, just looked like too much today.

Okay.... couple of complaints ahead..

1. This TOM stuff stinks! My doctor gave me a new BC pill to try and it is wrecking havoc with my body. The company that I get my other pills from has them on backorder so I am stuck with these for now. Two TOM visits in one month is one (well, actually two) too many! :rotfl:

2. My dog urinated on the carpet again.... :sad2: :crazy2:

Okay... I feel better now.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Workout

* Straighten the house

* Make dinner... I didn't yesterday. I had an allergic reaction to something I ate and took 2 Benadryl.... My DH went out, got McDonalds , and I slept for 3 hours!

* Spend some time on the Internet doing research for my DH.

That's about all from cold and snowy Ohio..... It was just a matter of time before winter came back!

Have a great Tuesday! :goodvibes

Hi Tracy in snowy Ohio from rainy England!!!
Sorry i have no cleaning motivation or any motivation for anything at the moment!!
Hope you've recovered from the allergic reaction!
Sorry to hear about TOM, hang in there, i had Tom problems but touch wood the medication i am now on appears to be working :)

I see I am not the only one who passes out from Benadryl. That stuff is lethal!!!

Housecleaning is something that just has to happen. I can't do it unless I am in "that mood". Hopefully that mood will find you soon!

In Anna's journal you asked about the mini meatloaf recipe. It's in my journal from last week or the week before. Check it out!!!

Halftime report.......

Okay, I've homeschooled, worked out, made dinner (lasagna), and did some research for DH....As for cleaning and straightening......NOTHING yet!:eek:
I think I'm going to put a Bon Jovi CD on and spend at least 15-20 miuntes cleaning the kitchen. I have to do something.... A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, right? ;)

Until later....:wave2:

Good evening WISH friends,

All in all, not a bad day today. I made two meals (lasagna-lunch; beef tips/noodles/mashed potatoes-dinner), and got everything done on my to do list, including straightening the house... Bon Jovi helped!:rotfl:

My DH is still at work on a service call. :eek: He is stressed out because nobody can seem to help him make sense of what the problem is..... He did call off of work tonight because he won't be home in time, he's only had two hours of sleep, and he's not feeling 100% well..... Prayers appreciated!:goodvibes

I think I will sit down tonight and go over our Disney budgets.... We need to start saving money for those trips!:thumbsup2

Tomorrow is Wednesday and that means weigh-in day.... I really don't want to weigh in, but I need to. If I am serious about losing this weight, I have to face the scale no matter what it says. It won't be easy though. :(

All, in all... a good day. Got a lot accomplished.....Have a great evening!:goodvibes

Good morning WISH friends,

Yesterday was a good day.... I made two meals in one day (lasagna and beef tips/noodles), got my to do list done, and had some time for rest and relaxation. I did have a few cinammon rolls late last night... DH called off work (Got home late, 1.5 sleep, not feeling well) and we stayed up for a little bit and had cinammon rolls and a good laugh. (We watched Jimmy Kimmel last night. He had Donald Trump and Carrot Top on.) I woke up this morning feeling anxious.... It's either due to the large amount of sugar I put into my body right before bed or it was the thought of weighing myself today.

Weigh-in: 210.6... up 1.8 pounds.... I'm not worried about this number. With TOM surprising me, a new pill, and last night's cinammon rolls, I honestly expected the number to be higher. I will be drinking lots of water, but probably won't exercise today.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Work for DH

* Disney budget

That's all for today! Have a great Wednesday! :goodvibes
