Hi! I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of small toys to pack to bring along for DD to play with at the hotel? She will be 2...I don't want to pack a ton but I also don't want her to be bored when we're not at Disney! If it was just a few days or even a week I wouldn't be concerned, but we'll be down there for 2 weeks.
Thanks!

coloring books
crayons
small puzzles (if she likes these)
blocks -- maybe??? Maybe you can buy some age-appropriate ones at LegoWorld in DTD.
a few little people (or better yet, they have Disney character sets for about $10... themed to either Cinderella, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, etc. They have several characters in each. We bought four of them for our four kids last year, ages 20 months - 5 and they played with them for hours at the hotel!)...

I went to walmart the other day and purchased the Crayola marker/finger paint set. The one that only works on the special paper. I have purchased this the last 2 years for my DS6 he draws on the plane and at WDW. I dont have to worry about mess on the plane or the room. Dont forget disney channel is available 24/7.

I also bring along a go fish game. I use it as a memorization match game/and the card game. You could use only 8 or 10 cards for match game.

have a great trip. :cool1:

MegaBlocks has some adorable Disney Princess sets out now. They are the big chunky kind and would be perfect for a two year old. I have seen Cinderella's coach with blocks inside. TOO CUTE. They also have a cute Little mermaid set in a tote.

My DD loves stickers and you could buy a Disney themed sticker book for her to do in the room.

Fisher Price makes the My First Princess dolls that are perfect for that age.

My advice is to NOT bring her favorite toy in case it gets left behind or lost. Just my 2 cents. It's not like I know from experience or anything...really...:rolleyes1

Thanks - these are all great ideas! Keep them coming if anyone else has any suggestions. Thanks!! :)

I don't know if you let your DD play with small toys, but my almost 2yo loves Polly Pockets, and they are very small, so easy to bring. We have brought in the past some princess figures, paper and crayons, color wonder markers, books, and stickers.

When we took our daughter on a trip at this age, I brought a travel magnadoodle, small board books (dollar store finds), and small McDonald/Burger King/Wendy's type toys that she had gotten in meals. At that age I would usually get the toddler toys and they were great. McDonalds has the Fisher Price toys and they are good quality. I wasn't worried if she lost any of these things because they weren't expensive and not here absolute favorite toys. We were traveling to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas and saw so many trains. She fell in love with trains so we stopped at a Wal-Mart and bought her a train she still plays with today (she's 4). You may find a special toy when you're there.

We brought toys for our dd when she was 15 mo old. I know I brought about 10 books since she loved books then & some other small toys.

The only toys that got played with were the beach toys.

This summer I will bring beach toys along with crayons/markers/coloring books for both kids & thing for the plane & that is it.
