Okay Parents,

I hit both stores this weekend and got a jump on xmas shopping. TRU had an okay clearance sale (JoJO was only $3) but Target was pretty good. If you have little ones says 16 mos and under the sales were great.

I bought both Woody w/acces. and Buzz and spaceship for $9.95 marked from 19.95! DS LOVES Toy Story.

Just thought I'd share! Happy SHopping!:thumbsup2

We also did some Christmas shopping this weekend and bought a lot at KB Toys. They even had buy one get one free. I don't know how long the sale is going on but it was worth it. Stephanie

Boy, you ladies are smart to get a headstart on Christmas shopping. I don't think I could hold out though with the toys.

I can hardly wait to give my kids their presents too, so I wrap them as soon as I buy them. Once they are wrapped and put away the urge to give them to the kids goes away. I have even had to unwrap some closer to Christmas to see what I got for them because I couldn't remember what I had bought 6 months before! I am done shopping for my youngest :cool1: and have some stuff for the others.
Did Target have 75% off of any toys yet?

Not that I saw, most were 50% or less.

Wow...and I thought I got a jump on the holidays early...you guys put me to shame. Now I have to ask...am I the only one who has it where the earlier you start shopping, the more you buy? I can't seem to help myself with the last minute stuff and then we have a presents overtaking our living room.

Nope, me too. I'm determined to keep it under control this yr!:rotfl:

I think I cleaned out our Target's Lego sale section! Most were 50% off! Target is bad, bad, bad. I have 3 of them within a 20 minute radius of me Don't think there haven't been days when I've been to all three of them! Christmas shopping is about 80% done. Usually they're wrapped by now, but I just haven't had the time. I'm ususally all done shopping/wrapping by Oct. 1st...

Yes, cooking and baking and watching everyone else scamper around like squirrels as they try to finish their last minute shopping. I just don't get into that "holiday rush".

The rumor is that Target toys will go 75% off this Thursday. I went tonight and most of the things I had looked at are already sold out at 30%. Which is probably for the best since I'm basically already done for Christmas and birthday and she doesnt really need any extra.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Even when I was done with shopping some years by the end of summer, the kids always had some additions to their Christmas list for the latest fads that weren't out yet when I was shopping so early. Personally, I love the holiday rush (to a degree). If I didn't set foot in the stores during the holiday, I'd be pretty bummed. However, I don't like to do the bulk of my shopping during that time. I don't start my holiday baking until at most a week before Christmas...don't want the cookies and breads to go soft (or worse, harden into hockey pucks)! We put up our decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving. I figure that normally gives us plenty of time for r&r in between everything. We even managed to go away for the week prior to Christmas (including Christmas Day itself) a few years ago and I was happily well prepared without being a crazy woman in the weeks before we left with trying to be ready not only for the holiday, but for the vacation.

They are marking down some toys to 75% off at the Target in Woburn, MA this morning. Thanks to the rumors here I stopped in to pick up some early Xmas and Toys for Tots stuff and for $53 and got:

Huge Skelton Lego set for $12.48 (orig $50!)
2 Top Model barbies for $2.48 each
2 Dreamlife electronic games for $2.48 each
A double set of Hannah Montana dolls for $7.48
A summer hanna for $4.98
Bratz hair extensions (for Halloween) $2.48
Magnet building set for $2.48
Doug and Melissa wooden yearly calendar $2.48p
Polly Pocket set $3.48
Speed Racer model kit $2.48

My target went 75% yesterday :cool1: I cleaned up:) We really thought it would be Thursday. My friend went to "check up" on things and called me panicked. I did get everything I went for. I got a Leapster L-Max for $22 :cool1: and a pink Kodak easy share for $50 . I spent about $300, but I am pretty much done with my 4 kids plus birthday parties this fall and winter.

Good luck.

For a moment I had to look twice at this thread to realize it was revived from last year! :lmao: I was at Target yesterday...didn't even think to look for markdowns! I'm still tackling back to school shopping.

I'll have to check out TRU tomorrow...maybe they're on the same schedule as last year?

Hit Target(s) today and cleaned up!! Just in case you haven't seen my haul on the BB thread:

That doesn't include the score from Target #3 this evening. Yep, Christmas and DS's friends birthdays are DONE! For, like, two years!! Love that 75% off sale!! Our church also gives out toys as prizes for the Fall Fest and each child that attends our Christmas Service gets a toy, so I got lots of stuff for that, too. I miiiight hit two more tomorrow, maybe three, but I really need to stop while I'm ahead (finance-wise). :lmao: Happy shopping!!
