HI just going over my plans, i know DHS does not have great CS - but we are thinking of trying Toy Story Pizza - decent food you think?

lisa

it is one of our must do's each year. I will say that NY's tend to sound more critical of it in comparison to what they find at home, but everyone is different

Pizza there is good but nothing to write home about. With not a lot of choices at DHS, it's one of the better CS options IMO. I do however like Backlot Express better as far as CS restaurants at DHS goes.

This is the only place I like at DHS. I think the pizza is good, but you will get a lot of people saying it's not. There are also salads available, which I like. I have heard you can get good sandwiches for lunch at Starring Rolls Cafe, but we haven't tried it yet because the kids like Pizza Planet so much.

We thought it was ok.....but nothing we'd go out of our way to go back to. Its good pizza.....but nothing special. We didn't expect it to be special though....because its not signature dining.

As with everything else, food wise, its expensive for what you get.

My kids are not sandwich eaters..i think they'd enjoy it and we're on the dining plan...

thanx for the feedback!

Tip: I always bring a roll of quarters for the arcade games they have in the restaurant. The kids look forward to playing a few games after eating--trust me your kids will be begging to play because there are games EVERYWHERE. And we love the upstairs seating, it is usually easy to get a seat and there are bathrooms up there.

This is decent pizza. We stop there for lunch during every trip. It taste like Dominos. Not the wonderful Chicago pizza we are use to, but coming from Chicago, the Toy Story pizza is pretty decent.

I must agree with everyone here-its so-so, just big, air conditioned, and plenty of tables inside. I agree with another poster, bring quarters, although I thought the games were pricey-like $1.00 each if I'm correct. My hubby hates the pizza so he always gets a salad. I share a pizza with my kids. WE're not big lunch eaters.

I think everyone needs to try it for themselves.

We had horrible luck, hated it, and won't be back, but that's just us. The sauce, what there was of it, gave the pizza an off flavor. Our crusts were very tough, and the cheese was sparse and wasn't 'melty'. Our experience was that it tasted like cardboard, so we mostly just ate the toppings and our side salads.

Others like it, and their opinions are just as valid as mine.

Give it a shot and see what you think. In the grand scheme of things if you don't like it, it's one lunch and what's one bad lunch? If you like it, you've done the 'impossible' and found good CS at DHS :goodvibes

You'll find a ton of opinions about Pizza Planet, all of them different. Personally, we've never had a problem with it. The pizza isn't spectacular, but it was good. I had a personal pizza with a salad, which was fresh. Being on the DDP, we had a cookie for dessert, which I actually saved for later. Compared with some of the lackluster CS places at DHS, I like Pizza Planet. It's where I'd prefer to go when in the park.

I'll definitly bring some quarters..thanx for the tip!

What do you get on the dining plan - a personal sized pizza and drink/dessert or a salad and drink/dessert?

You get an entree which would be either a pizza, pizza w/salad, chicken salad, caprese salad and then you get your drink and a choice of a cookie or rice krispie treat for dessert.

I think the pizza is just fine. Its not the most amazing pizza you will eat but its good. I am from NY and there are some GREAT pizza places here, I was ready to dislike this place based on the reviews but it was ok.

My hubby I and I thought it was just about as good as say, pizza hut, where almost everything comes prepackaged and frozen (worked in one many years ago as a teen).

Our pizza was hot, the salads were fresh and we were in the AC, will go again but at the same time its not something we would go out of our way for.

See you at CSR we'll be staying there too.

Kids on the dining plan will be ordering the child's pizza, which comes in cheese only and is about half the size of the regular pizzas.

We think the pizza is not bad at all - it's the same pizza served at AK at Pizzafari. We always make sure to visit one or the other.

The salad was just eh and so wasnt the pizza...too doughy for us. Pretty good when you dip it into ranch dressing though :rotfl2:

I was able to order a kids pizza without the sauce for my niece....she was happy with that

I had seen some really bad reviews for TSPP so we ate there hesitantly. We actually enjoyed it much more than we thought. We thought it was a good deal if you are on the DDP since they have the combo with the pizza and salad.

We love Pizza Planet. Every time we go the pizza is always very hot, and fresh. Pretty good. The atmosphere is fun too! If you are a Toy Story fan, you will love it.
