Toy Story Mania- Photo Link Included

I just got back from the preview weekend of Toy Story Mania. it is an excellent ride, the que itself is amazing and not to be missed especially for the little ones, Mr Potato Head is an amazing autoanimatronic and makes a great entertainment in the que. I think this will be a very popular ride but I can also see it having a poissibility of frusterating the younger children a bit, it takes a bit more practice to get good at it.
If you like Buzz Lightyear you will love this one- Buzz has one type of arget to shoot while this has 5 different games with different types of objects and targets in each. It rates you on both points and accuracy (so with 2 people playing in each car maybe each of you can win in one area. I found that whomever had better accuracy had a lower score.)

I will add some pictures up once I get them on my computer. I definately recocomend planning this attraction into your day at the studios and if possible plan it early enough in the day for you to make it in the regular que at least once. Single Rider line is avaiable but it also bypasses the indoor que. They are thinking single rider won't help as much in this one but I am not sure- it still gives you even numbers (you sit in groups of 2 playing with 8 people on the car, but you only interact or see your seatmate during the game for the most part).

Thanks for the review and the pictures! I absolutely LOVE the queue area. That is exactly what I love about Disney - all those little details and surprises. I can't wait to see it in person this fall. I actually hate the Buzz Lightyear ride (probably because I did Men in Black at Universal first which IMO is way better) so hopefully I'll like this one a little more.

You're lucky you got to ride it. I'm jealous. I specifically went on Saturday to MGM/DHS to give it a try. I went in the single rider line (because I "heard" that it spins, and no one else I was with likes spinning rides), well, before I got in the line, they told me that it was possible that the single rider line would take longer (than the posted 50 minutes for the regular line). Umm.... I stood in the same spot for 25 minutes, and they weren't taking any single riders. We moved twice only because people were getting out of the single rider line to leave. I also left without riding it because it was frustrating to stand around and not have a chance of getting on the ride. One couple that passed me as they were leaving said that they were within sight of the seating area, but it took them 45 minutes to get there, and then stood in the same spot for another 30 minutes before getting frustrated. So I left right after them. Hopefully once the ride is fully functioning, they will actually take single riders.

But thanks for the pictures, I got to see some of the que from my vantage point. Too cute!

The CMs working the ride said that due to the nature of the ride and its seating Single Rider they expected would take longer than the regular queue, but I didn't go that way. I just waited for hours outside the enterance so i could be at the front of the line.
