Toy Story Mania line in the mornings

Hi, everyone:wave2: Can anyone tell me how the morning line is handled for Toy Story Midway Mania? When I went two years ago when the ride first opened, the line snaked all the way to Soarin', and this was BEFORE the official 10 a.m. opening time.

I will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel and can get into the park early (I believe . . . or is this just for WoC FP?)

Is the WoC FP so crazy that the TSMM line is short at park opening? Please say yes!

I don't think the rides at DCA open early for anyone, except Soarin and the WOC Fastpass machines 30 mins. early.

I haven't been to TSMM in the morning but I stood in line for 30-40 mins. last week and it was all within the TSMM building. It had those cattle chains up for a couple of rooms. It wasn't bad.

When we went last month, the people waiting for TSMM didn't seem any fewer due to WoC. The CMs held everyone until 10 AM for rope drop near the new Little Mermaid ride. We were kind of in the middle, maybe the front 1/3 of the crush. We walked quickly when the rope dropped and were on the ride within about 15 minutes. When we got off, the wait was already listed as 45 minutes.

Everyone still runs, walks, briskly power walks to TSMM... It's a little crazy! I don't think WOC FP have affected the line, I even heard people say they were going there after!

With all that said, it's the first place I go and way worth it! It may be 30-40 min, but it's better than it will be in the afternoon at over an hour!

Thanks for the tips! We'll be heading over to TSMM first thing. 30-40 minutes in the morning is much more bearable than 60 minutes in the midday sun + body heat (especially in the middle of the chained section!)

I'm here right now (and also staying at the Disneyland Hotel) - we went to California Adventure this morning...we got there at 9.30am to go on Soarin', and when we got off there was a small group of people by the rope waiting to be let into the rest of the park. But the time 10.00am came, there were tons more people! We were let in at 10.00am, and went straight to Paradise Pier - we stopped along the way to get fastpasses for California Screamin', then went straight to Toy Story Mania and the wait was only 10 minutes.

Even when we came off the ride, the line was probably about 20-30 minutes, nothing too crazy.

I don't know how true this still is, but when we went from June 18-22 the CM I spoke to at TSMM said if you're at DCA late and go during any of the WOC shows (since TSMM remains open) that there isn't much of a line.

I am confused. I thought it was said that all PP rides were closed before the start of WOC and stayed that way, including TSMM? Has this changed? Would be nice if it has, we arrive on Monday.

We were there Monday-Friday last week and as far as I could tell, ALL lights were off on Paradise Pier during WOC...I was ENTIRELY under the impression that all the rides over there were closed.

The only morning that we opened over at DCA was Thursday (we were in line at the gates by 9am). We did Soarin' first and then walked up to check out TSMM. It was already a 40 minute wait. We just skipped it....we don't like it enough to wait 40 minutes for it.

I'm sorry if the info. I gave was incorrect. It HAS been a month since I've been there, so I was just going on the information I was given by the CM I spoke to at TSMM. The CM just told me that since their ride was indoors that it wasn't affected by WOC and in the 4 days we were there they went from closing all rides to keeping TSMM open. I was trying to be helpful, but since it's been a month maybe they've decided to change things up again? Maybe someone who's at DCA right now can offer some current info.

TSMM has been open during WOC unofficially and now officially. From Disney's blog: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...s+(Disney+Parks+Blog)&utm_content=Yahoo!+Mail

And if that’s not enough, we are also thrilled to announce that Toy Story Mania and Mulholland Madness will remain open during performances of “World of Color” while the park is still open to guests.

We were at Calif. Adverture on Monday, July 12 and TSMM is in fact open during WOC. We went to the 1st WOC showing, so don't know about lines during that time, but for the 2nd show, we waited about 10 - 15 minutes to get on. I also don't know if that is normal or not since the hours of CA were supposed to be 10am - 10 pm, but once in the park they made an announcement that they would stay open until 11:00 pm to add a 3rd showing of WOC. So, if you do TSMM 1st thing when you get there or during the WOC, you won't have much of a wait (we rode it 3 times that day and the longest wait was at about 12:30 and that was 30- 40 minutes).
