Hi...

I haven't been to California Adventure since Toy Story Mania opened last year. I'll be there in April! I know that when DCA opens at 10:00 a.m., they actually let people in at 9:30 a.m. to ride Soarin' and gather at the ropes for the rest of the park. I thought I heard last year that they had a special place to line up for Toy Story Mania. Is that still true? Thanks!

Chas

Yes it is right past the GCH hotel entrance into DCA. The line got super long really fast!

Yup. The morning line can be worse than the normal day line as people all rush to get on thinking it will be quicker.

Thanks!

That's where I heard the line was, but wasn't sure if they were still doing that. Do you think it would work best to get there before 9:30 am, and then go straight to the lineup, not even going on Soarin'?

I was there last week and we went in to CA at about 9:45. We went straight over to GRR, but there was not a line, they were just holding everyone at the rope. There was only abut 50 people there, but the by the time of rope drop, many people had packed in. We went with the crowd straight to TSM and walked right on. We got in line again and only waited about 15 minutes. Both of the parks were packed that day, so we were thrilled to be able to get through the line that fast!

this is good to know! i think we'll grab our FPs for soarin' and head for TSM first! :thumbsup2

This is what we did in Dec. DH paused to grab FP for Soarin' while the rest of us walked over to TSMM. He caught up with us at about the bridge and we were able to get right on. I think it took us about 8 minutes to get from GRR and the rope drop to TSMM and on the ride. When we got off the ride the line was already at the 30 min. mark. :scared1:
