Toy Story Early Morning Magic Reviews?

I have EMM booked for Toy Story Land in mid July. I am wondering if other families who have gone thought it was worth their money. The main reason I booked was so we can ride SDD with little to no wait. If I somehow manage to get FP for SDD at 60+2, I will cancel EMM, but what from what I've been reading SDD is difficult to score prior to 60+4. Are the rides mostly walk on at EMM? What have your experiences been with lines for the character meet and greets during EMM? Thanks!

The rides are around walk-on, but SDD being the most popular ride it can still be a bit of a wait.

In general I don't think the HS EMM is really worth it. There's just not a lot to the Toy Story land. I'd rather save the money to try and do a ticketed event at one of the other parks.

We had much better experiences (3 times at TSL) than at MK. Hollywood was totally worth it to us. Older kids rode SDD 6 or so times & younger one rode TSM & aliens multiple times as well. We met Buzz on the way in with about a 10 minute wait. We waited until the end to meet Woody & Jessie & that was about a 30-45 minute wait. On two of our visits we had made fastpasses for some of the other rides/ shows following breakfast. We much prefer the breakfast here over MK.
It is a little surreal how quickly the area can fill up after the hoards arrive! But it is an amazing experience even without the low wait times just to be there without wall to wall people & to get to appreciate all the details.
Our first time doing it was in November (thanksgiving week) & the last two were in March(spring break). I didn’t notice a huge difference in crowd size or longer waits in March. The biggest difference was that we had to re-enter the TSM line every time & we hadn’t done that in November. I’m sure it has something to do with crowd control but we surely liked it better when we didn’t even have to get out of the car to ride again!
