Towncar/ Shuttle bus Questions

Hi All

Decided that after last years transfer from MCO to CSR taking over 3 hours we are going to book a town car this year. So my questions are:

Do you have any recommendations for a good reliable company?

Do you know if they would collect us from a different place than our resort for the trip back to MCO,? We thought it would be easier if they picked us up from a park than go back to the resort (and more time in the park )

If we book the free grocery stop that many company's offer where do they stop? I need an american hairdryer but guess i would only get that if they stop at a large store.

Also looking at booking a shuttle to US/IOA - is it best to use mear's as they are the only one's i can find offering this but can't seem to find any pricing details on there site. Would this be much cheeper than a taxi? How late do they run in the evening, we want an evening at citywalks if possible.

We used FL Tours for our last trip. They were very punctual and the drivers very friendly. They even called our hotel room a day or so before our return to confirm the pickup point and time

The trips before our last one we used Tifany Towncars - they were also very punctual with friendly drivers.

can't comment on the shuttle but in a taxi (on the spot not booked) from POP to Universal was at the most $30, Sea world was a lot less than that but I can't remember exactly!

Just beware all our taxi drivers were scary drivers!

The Mears shuttle would be the cheaper option compared to a taxi - depending on how many of you there are

I'm sure Bell Services at CSR would be able to book a shuttle or a tax if for you. Disney tend to only use Yellow Cabs (Mears).

Hi, we booked last 2 years with Legacy Town Car, the 1st year was fine but last year there was a bit confusion on the way home as it was a different driver and he wanted more money (as you pay on arrival at resort). I will probably just rebook with them again for this year. I know what you mean about the bus we did that 3 year ago and it had no air conditioning never again. We use mears to and from Universal.

I've arranged transfers from mco and between our hotels with Sun ray transportation which came highly recommended on the dis transportation boards. When I do a search now though the name is all ****** 'd out!

Will be using them in 4 days so I hope it's ok!

We have used Mears to seaworld, DC and universal. From memory I think it was about $45 for round trip for two adults and a child. Whilst they say just give them a call a hour or two before collection please be aware the shuttles run on a schedule, usually hourly.

have used ****** and Fl Tours and was very happy with both. ****** had the edge for me as they were just more friendly and personal, and made sure they sent the same driver for pickup as well as drop off. and as far as i know they are happy to have a differnet pick up and drop off point as i arranged to be dropped off at All Stars but picked up from Wilderness Lodge, no problem. The only park they may have a problem with is Magic Kingdom as no cars are allowed by the main gate, they would have to pick u up from the ticket and transport center,
