Can someone recommend a town car company that provides service from the Orlando Amtrak Station to WDW?

I've written to most of the companies who frequent this board but have only gotten two replies - one offers the service but charges $45/hour if the train is late and the other also offers the service but hasn't replied to my question about what happens if the train is late.

Recommendations appreciated!

I've used Sunray Transportation several times for MCO to WDW transfers. Have had a couple buddies use them from Amtrack to MCO and were pleased.

Good Luck!

have you tried happy limo? we have used them many times. one time i had called them to inform them that our train will be an hour late and the person who answered told me that they monitor any pickups they have. we have had late pickups almost every trip and never were charged for that

I will prop use Amtrak for out dec trip. I did a search on these boards and it seems that most feel the Kissimmee sdtation is a better option then orlando,
Its closer and nicer. Thats the startion I'm going to use.

The Kissimmee station is closer to WDW, however it is not nicer. It's a very old station, very small, and it has its share of weird people. I always wait right near the station, in case someone bothers me. (I travel solo a lot.)

There is a very nice park across the tracks with a fountain.

Are there always taxis available upon arrival at this station?

Thank you

we have taken the train down to orlando at least 12 times. actually me and my husband just got back from 23 until 31. there are always cabs and the small like shuttle bus service at the station. as soon as you get off the train they are right there. they actually will ask people if they have already gotten transportation or not. a couple of times we did take a cab. we usually do one of the shuttle type van. this time he had only 1 other stop. and it only cost us 35.00 one way, and of course tip. we dont do grocery stops we just go right to our disney hotel, usually one of the all stars. i know i checked at our hotel to check on mears cab, cause we thought we would be stuck on that wed.because of ernesto. and the mears shuttle or cab wanted 59.00 one way. so we just called the same guy that we had when we arrived. i knowsome people say town car is cheaper, im not sure cause we have never done them. also ,the picture of the kissemme station looks the same as orlando one. there is also a little store across from it. but like i said there are alot of vans/shuttles waiting. actually, they told me there is more choice in orlando than kissemme..good luck.

If you want to you can take a cab from the Orlando station to the airport and take Magical Express the rest of the way. (Immediate Disney resort check in and 10 day advance reservation needed for ME but being punctual at MCO is not terribly critical.

We have always detrained at the Kissimmee station. It is closer to WDw, cab fare is available, cheaper there than from Orlando and have van taxis available. Fewer people detrain there, tons get off at Orlando and it makes that stop crowded. We come from the north and its only the next stop after Orlando, about 20 minutes or less to Kissimmee. Its a one person or employee station, has baggage service and from I have seen, a better area to be in around Orlando.

I totally agree with the above post. Orlando is very, very busy. I prefer the Kissimmee station. Also, when heading north, the dining car is not busy at all, until you reach Orlando. I try to get seated and have my lunch well underway when we hit Orl. :teeth:
